Thanks for the honest review. The elephant in the room for me is why Nike decided to discontinue the Air Zoom Vapor 9, the best tennis shoe they have ever produced. (The recent release in horrific colour aside). The last few years of Nike tennis shoe releases have not only been aesthetically awful but also just plain bad. I switched over to Lotto and most recently Laxoste, whose shoes in my opinion beat any other brands for performance, they are in a different league. On seem to have tried to rush and capture the tennis market without realising the fact that however good or bad a player might be considered, one thing we know and appreciate is performance and what the value of money appertains to.

Are the clay shoes from QC (ON) wide or narrow fit? I love my Babolat shoes as they are narrow fit and comfortable support. Clay and hardcourt shoes. How would these compare to your On shoes?

Tried this shoe recently for the first time. The shoes felt great and light on my feet. I was sort of surprised with how much support was built into the shoe given that the upper material is a fairly thin knit. I can't comment on the longevity of the shoes as I just started wearing them, but my one concern is the rigid lateral support piece on the upper. It appears to be a firm TPU which was digging into my the side of my foot after about one match. I'm hoping for future models they change that piece to a slightly softer material that still provides some support.

Tuck the laces flap behind the tongue while tying your shoes. Once finished, pull it out and secure it... Definitely don't leave it flapping around while tying. Would drive me nuts too.

Maybe your isn’t that wide, those shoes are quite a bit tight and you don feel comfortable, nike used to make shoes super super narrow… for me that hard court are light and nimble, nice shoe to play, know I’m shifting to padel so I need some clay type of outsole and those are my first choice.

They lasted me a total of three months because the materials were cheap. I used them almost everyday for 1-3 hrs. The laces gradually wore down because of the constant rubbing against the metal button, which, by the way, broke off on my right shoe, the first month. However, in terms of feel and performance; They are the best clay shoes I've ever played tennis with. Sadly, I was disappointed in the high price tag for such a low quality material with no longevity built into it.

ON despite the Roger partnership, promotion and line focus are not really Tennis or even that sport-specific focused(compared to Asics) so its no surprise that their tennis shoes are not even up the declining standards of Nike. The best shoes in the market currently are Asics, K-Swiss, Wilson and New Balance. I have tried shoes from all 4 this week and even Wilson Rush Pro 4.0's and all 4 are producing nice shoes. Addidas has fallen more off even then Nike and without the Barricades they would be bottom of the ladder. ON though is a running shoe firm primarily and an up-market firm so I dont think they are at the level yet to compete with those 3. The fact Iga Swiatek is still wearing Asics indicates everything to know about where tennis shoes are for Asics vs ON.. Interesting that in a previous video you stated accurately how hard it is to be sponsored/endorsed by Nike especially after they dropped Rublev because now the once lifelong promoter- Grigor Dimitrov has now moved on from Nike to Lacoste which is outdoing Nike now. Funny how this often happens after a player does well- Rublev during Monte Carlo Masters win and Dimitrov making his first final in ages and at Geneve... This being stated Shoes are completely personal. Find what works for you and embrace it I believe..
