I have been avoiding the Percy Jackson series for a while. However, everyone seems to really enjoy it. I might read the series sometime this summer. That little blurb you gave made me a little more excited to try it.

I TOTALLY agree with you, Unearthly is amazing. Just give it a shot people! It's not your typical angel YA book.

Fallen gets SO much better I PROMISE by the end you're on the edge of your seat!

I felt the same way when I saw mine! :D

I'm almost afraid to say this, but I actually like the Fallen series. I thought that it was a decent first book, and the series got better with each book. They are slow to read, the chapters are long, but that is made up for with rather large font. Rapture, the fourth and final book in the series is, I think, the best one, and the ending is just beautiful. It couldn't have ended any other way, in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend it for everyone, though. You'll have to come to your own decision on whether or not to read it.

I totally agree! It is one of those series where you have a long build up, but the last book is beautiful and worth all of the time you spent on the other 3. It has so many twist and turns, it makes you constantly re-evaluate your guesses. The story is truly one of those simple love stories, but with excitement at every page.

i also agree... the fourth book is my favorite and it doesnt end in a expected way and yes the first book did take a while to read but it was worth it for where the story continued in the next books

You're not the only one. I actually sometimes shake my head when I like a book that is trashed by others, but then they like a book and I'm like... huh? Why would you like that book. It all comes down to taste, and jumping into bandwagons. People criticize Fallen, and if it's enough people, they will make you feel bad for liking it. I thought Fallen was nice. I loved the description, it is what mainly enchanted me. I'm not usually big on description, but this book made me fall for it. It was beautiful and dark. And fallen angels... that should be enough.

Olga Guevara I know what you mean. I mean, I'm trying really hard to read Throne of Glass, because of all the hype it's received, but I'm struggling with it. I don't know why. Maybe because so many people like Dorian and I don't. I don't particularly like Chaol either, but there is a Team Dorian and Team Chaol, just like there was with Twilight and Edward and Jacob, and it's rather annoying. Anyway with all the hype this series has, I feel kind of bad that I'm not really liking it. I had to stop reading the novellas, because I just didn't like them.

Fallen is actually a very good series over, the first book is like all fluff until the very end really, even the author's said that lol, so you have to push through that :)

I like this shot much better than the usual!

WOW, YOU ARE THE FIRST PERSON I HAVE SEEN TALK ABOUT UNEARTHLY IN A BOOKTUBE VIDEO. Granted, I have not been watching booktube for long, BUT STILL, IT'S A FANTASTIC SERIES. I still need to read the third book TBQH. I started it, got fairly far, but then dropped it because I got caught up in other things books...I;m gonna try and pick it back up soon. i read fallen like ages ago and i really enjoyed it. i can understand at first the story doesn't really seem good, but it is, to me at least. but i guess if you tried to read like 100 pages and you didn't like it at all, then you shouldn't pick it up again because you'd only waste your time. i love your videos by the way! (sorry for my english, i'm italian and i'm still learning!)

Fallen series....the first book and the last book is worth reading the two middle ones were just okay.

I agree, I liked the first and the last but the two in the middle I didn't see a huge need for them.

Fallen gets much better when you stick with it. It took me maybe 5 tries to get into it but when I did I was quite surprised about how good it was. Try and give it another shot please!

Omg this video made me feel so nostalgic. It’s been like 5 years since my paranormal angel faze where I binge read angel books all summer and it was so weird seeing some of those again. Totally agree with what you said though, Fallen is so awful (even back then I thought so) but I remember loving Unearthly and have the other two somewhere on my book shelf. Definitely need to get round to those :D

I had the exact same feeling about the Percy Jackson series. Loved it so much! Still haven't read the spin-off series, but I'm hoping that since those events take place after the Olympians series they will be a little more YA and include some more serious subjects..

Totally agree with your opinion on allegiant. I couldn't even finish it.

I though the first Fallen book was just okay. It took me awhile to get through it and then I decided to pick up the second... It was so good!! Definitely worth trudging slowly through the first book.

I must say I ike the fallen series. I agree that it's kinda slow to read but it gets better once the story starts properly. And it gets better and more interesting with every book and the third one is really interesting. So yeah you should definitely read more and hang in there because it gets better.

I read the unearthly series in like three days so good.

unearthly has been on my tbr for so long, this is really making me want to pick it up though..

Unearthly caused me so much trouble oh my gosh. I saw the synopsis in a library one time and had put it back because I couldn't carry anymore books and forgot to mark the name or author. And then I spent a year searching the library for it with only the synopsis to help me. It took a long time, but I found it and I love the series so much!

Lol! I've read pretty much all the books (except the Korean one of course). I agree about there being too much info dump in Allegiant. I liked Fallen, but then again I'm rarely picky when it comes to books.

SO WEIRD, when you were talking about Unearthly being an angel book, my mind wandered to thoughts of Fallen, and then whatdya know, Fallen is in this video too! So eerie. I personally loved Fallen so much - in the beginning. And then the further I got into the book and as it revealed that it was about angels I got really mad at how predictable and cliche it was and gave the book away when I finished.

I had the exact same reaction to Allegiant even up to the "Yes please, I would like some memory serum for that, that would be great."

I read fallen and I didn't "love" it, but I didn't dislike it either. Torment... Didn't like that one... But then we have passion! And that one is just amazing and the last book is also great, so don't give up! It's worth it eventually :)

In the start of the video i spotted the divergent serie on the shelf, and i just prayed that you would get to tell about Allegiant!!! And you did!!!! My wish came true!! XD

Fallen series is amazing it really gets better, the witting is amazing and it's a love story that I will always remember. Please try it out ( torment the sequel isn't so good)!

I'm actually surprised you didn't enjoy Fallen. I couldn't put it down and I read the first three books in two days. The beginning was alittle slow but I fell in love with it. I was actually inspired to write my own paranormal book after reading this series! I hope you one day try again. I think you'll end up being surprised.

fallen is one of my favorite series and i just love it and i think you should try to read it also because of the rest of the series which is amazing and because of the movie. i really suggest you will give it another try

I read Fallen and I really liked it at first it's not very interesting but after a while the book (in my opinion) got very interesting. I think you should finish it

I've read all of the Fallen books, and the first is the best of them all. I read the rest out of boredom and for the romance of it, but yeah not that great. One book (spoiler) was about all of her past lives, and it took me a long time to get through it haha. You've made me want to go back an re-read Unearthly now, and then read the next two! I sort of forgot about it, but I still remember the ending haha. I'll also have to get Percy Jackson... I've always put off reading those but you booktubers are making me reconsider :P
