How's the metal cutting?

Thank you for your fassssst work and due diligence. Is the metal laser head considered a fiber laser bcuz you’re not using the word fiber. Hybrid means what exactly? No product copy on their website yet. I’m debating Omtech Pro 100w vs Aeon Mira 9 100w … thoughts? Do you think pro line would ship quickly? Your laser is HUGE! I’d need to insulate my garage for that but I love IT. Thanks again. ❤️🔥☄️

This is only a co2 machine, nothing fiber about it. The hybrid part happens with the nozzle change. This only works on specific metals (varieties of steel). As of today the hybrid 3655 is showing that it will ship in 7 days and the 2440 is saying 75 days to ship.

Do you think they'll possibly make a diode head that could be attached so that we could engrave on other metals too? If it's possible to turn off the CO2 of course.

I don’t know that I have seen DSP controllers running diode heads. They would also add more bulk to a laser head that is already pretty bulky.

How long have you run it before needing to clean the lens?

I don’t wait for the lens to need a cleaning. I clean on a cadence whether it looks like it needs it or not.
