Omtech Pro Co2 Laser - Dialing in Wood Cut Setting and Cutting Stupid Stuff
In this video I use the @omtechlaser pro Co2 laser to dial-in cut settings for wood products. I also show a sample of cutting three-quarter inch MDF and even a 2 x 4.
The OMTech Pro shown in this video is a 150 W hybrid with a 36 x 55 bed. So far I’ve been really impressed with the build quality of this machine and its capabilities.
Finding efficient cut settings is super important when running your laser as efficiently as possible. In this video I show a couple of test cards that are already premade and also how do use, the Lightburn material test feature.

Compressor air assist would help cut a whole lot better.
Shall I assume this is an early access product to you only? I have a 4063 unit...this pro line is miles ahead of my 4063.

Yes, this has not been released yet but coming very soon.
Surprised you were able to use lightburn on this model. It wasn't a listed option for this unit on the OMTech website.

It has worked perfectly from day one. You just have to install the trocen specific drivers before using Lightburn.

Does this only work for Windows PC? Does it do Mac?
Do you happen to know the max z height? Appears to be missing from the specs.

I measured it the other day. With the bed as low as it goes measuring roughly from the focus point down to the knives there is about 9 inches. If you needed more than that you could remove the knives and go all the way down to the catch tray.
