    Hey James! Thanks for the comment. As for the shaking, I’m sure all tables shake to a certain extent, but honestly its no different from a normal table, it also depends on the weight u have on the table. Too much weight and the wobble sways more often :) hope this helps! Do consider using my affiliate link if you intend to purchase:)

  • @ShawnKoh

    @ShawnKoh

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hey there, Previously I had a timber top for my desk, I didn't really like it cause it didnt feel real. I've not tried the Omnidesk timber top, but that's something to consider. Using timber tops have advantages and disadvantages as well, if you get real wood, it requires maintenance and regular coatings, if you get laminates or veneers, they might feel fake but require less maintenance. For the size of the table, I think 60 is just the right size. Thanks for the support!

    Hi there! Thanks for the informative video. Im interested in getting 1 myself with similar specs as yours (60 inch). As i will also be getting the pc mount as well, I was worried if the displayport cable from the pc to the monitors may not be longer enough. Can you advise how long should the cable be? And do I need to leave some slack so that the table can elevate and depress without issues? Thanks!

  • @ShawnKoh

    @ShawnKoh

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hey Fazen, Since you are getting the PC mount, the cable doesn't need to be super long, the typical cable length (1-1.5m) is sufficient. You dont need to leave slack for the rising and lowering of the table because ur monitor is mounted onto your desk, so it travels with the height of the table. But if you are going to route it under the table and organize ur cables, I would suggest a longer cable. For myself I bought a 3m cable, which was more than enough for me to comfortably manager my cables and still have enough slack leftover. You can check out my other video kzread.info/dash/bejne/aYB2l5aOfrK6drw.html where I show abit of my cable management. Thanks for the comments and I hope you enjoy your table! Sorry non tech question, you use 2 tapes, 1 adhesive side attach to table the other tape attach to powerbar, move the powerbar anytime and snap it back to table as when needed? Is it work it this way? Is it strong enough to hold the powerbar with another 6 sockets weight? Thank you.

    @@SingleLifeSG Hey, no worries, ask away... for the 3M dual lock, they are pretty solid to the point its really hard to detach. I have all 6 sockets used and placed upside down. So yes the dual tape can hold the weight easily. As for how you'd place the tapes, that's a personal choice, I didnt see the need to move or adjust mine in the future so I use what I needed. The tape is quite pricey so use it sparingly. Hope this helped :)

    I am looking at the 72” model but worried about 2 things 1) the middle of the table will sag due to most weight focusing in the middle and I understand the centre rail does not support the table 2) as both legs are so far apart, the table will fall or wobble a lot if it is heighten. Should I be concern ?

  • @ShawnKoh

    @ShawnKoh

    3 жыл бұрын

    Well I’ve never had a 72” table but here’s my thoughts. With regards to the sagging, it will depend on the thickness & material of the desktop. And also depending on the weight you place on the table. Yes, all tables wobble and it gets more obvious as the height increases. So there no way anyone can answer ur question as there are too many variables. Go to a store and test it for yourself, thats the only way you can know if it suits ur needs.

    @@ShawnKoh yes I agree, I guess I am referring specifically to omni desk pro 2020 and based on your setup and of course the tabletop that omni desk used … will it sag ? Does the middle rail support it ? Or it is just a rail that houses the motor but doesn’t touch the table ?

  • @ShawnKoh

    @ShawnKoh

    The middle rail is attached to the table, to be more specific, my video shows the ends of the middle rail being screwed into the table. It does support it and has a cross rail to span and connect the two legs. So yes it does support the sagging. At 60” wide i have not seen any sagging in my desk, and I have a really heavy monitor (43” screen) Wobbling is there but not very obvious. Hope this helps :)

    Hey, thanks for this really awesome review! Can you comment on the stability of this table at sitting height(~75cm)? i’m quite particular about stability as i don’t want my monitors to be shaking or the table to be wobbling (even slightly) when making fast mouse movements during gaming or while typing. Thanks!

  • @ShawnKoh

    @ShawnKoh

    Hey Sherwin, so far not much shaking as far as I can tell,. My sitting height is 73cm and I have not seen much shaking. The occasional vibrations when typing angry emails but so far so good. :) I wouldn't say there is absolutely no shaking, its still a 2-leg table so stability is limited compared to a 4-leg table. If you have a chance, check out their showcases at some computer fairs before buying. Hope this helps :)

    Shawn Koh Thanks for your input! Unfortunately during this cb period i can’t go down to “test” the table. i actually have the same monitor arm as you. Is there any wobble on the monitors (lifted side by side instead top and bottom) when typing and moving the mouse quickly?

    Does it need to be plugged in at all times?

  • @ShawnKoh

    @ShawnKoh

    3 жыл бұрын

    Well technically no, but it defeats the purpose of having an adjustable desk. Most desks can have their heights adjusted, but for the Omnidesk, the advantage is that it lets you move to a standing position when you need it. So I'd recommend plugging it in all the time. But then again if you plug it out, it will still work like a normal table.

    Yeah there were no pre-drilled holes in the desk, so I had to do them myself. Not a big deal but u need some wood working experience to manage this :) Drill too deep and ur table top might get punctured!

    Hi Shawn, I moved out several times a year. How easy it is to remove the legs to transport the desk. I would not remove the pieces which are directly screwed to the desktop but disassemble the parts making up the legs. Would doing this a few times a year weaken the whole desk after a while? Nice video by the way. Keep up the good work!
