a popular style of anime at the moment is FULL DIVE MMORPG, where your mind is transported into an mmorpg world while your body is laying on a bed at home, such as Sword Art Online, which I love that anime. But once that becomes a reality which is possible down the road, then can you imagine how many people will no longer do anything in real life, when they can be transported to an alternate reality that feels like real life, but is magical in so many ways. I WANT I WANT I WANT :)

there is an anime I am watching called *"Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life!"* where real life skills and fitness are translated into the RPG world , so if you are fast and strong in real life, you are fast and strong in the game, if you are weak and slow in real life, you are weak and slow in the game. So a VR system with a platform like this, could be the equivalent to that anime, you saw how in the FPS VR game in the footage he is crouching down throwing a grenade, and running down a street with 2 guns a blazing. now imagine you had bad throwing skills and run out of breathe easy, you will die quickly, this will force people to work out more often and gain real life body skills to compete in games. I know for a fact, I would not do well in games if this is the case, I am too old and too overweight.

I'm really curious to know how far you can lean in this setup. I was excited to see a system that matched/exceeded the KAT Walk C's levels of hand freedom that included enough vertical motion to crouch, but the actor in the promotional video does look like they have a flagpole for a spine with that posture. Peaking around corners seems like a very natural motion you'd want to do in VR, so it'd be a shame if that wasn't an option. Also, if it's not compatible with other headsets and stores like Steam VR, that might be a deal breaker. For as much as it's grown, VR still feels too small to slice itself up with exclusivity unless you're a really big name like Facebook/Oculus. (Not that I'm a fan of that company in general. I'm just saying they have the reach to pull that sort of thing off that Omni likely lacks.)

I acctully threw mine away after about 6 months because it created so much friction trying to play vr that I quit playing.. I have started utilizing NoLo and a mat to know where am at in the real world and it was a much better experience

It's taken a long time to get a feedback 360 immersive experience but it's getting there.kinda like VHS vs betamax back in the 80s there will be rival companies making these better and better but there will be one system that will be in every home within 10 years. The sliding plastic is ok for now and a cheap alternative to full running on belts but this system will have to be upgraded for now it keeps the cost down. The jacket that you zip into and holds you up with rear bracket 360 movement..nice..to really play be games the body will need catered for just as the mind has been given pretty good immersion with pc and psvr.

If they can get decent quality games onto it then I believe this really will be the future of VR with other companies either getting a license to use this or producing their own version of it. Mark my words, it will only take one game done really well & fully incorporating this technology with the gameplay for it to explode and take off in the gaming industry.

I just watched a video of someone staying in the metaverse for 100 days, obviously they slept & ate normally etc, but otherwise they stayed in the VR metaverse. I watched a bit of it as I am curious what this VR metaverse would be like and it looks boring as fuck. He even was told by someone in the metaverse, most people just stand around looking at themselves in the mirrors. which he showed tones of people just looking at themself in the mirror. Metaverse looks stupid, but VR gaming looks fun and I know as I tried Vr gaming 30 years ago and it was, so i can only assume it has gotten so much better.

@@Loneman_OG there is an anime I am watching called *"Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life!"* where real life skills and fitness are translated into the RPG world , so if you are fast and strong in real life, you are fast and strong in the game, if you are weak and slow in real life, you are weak and slow in the game. Now obviously that is an anime, but it's like real life, think about it, if you have bad vision and poor wrist & arm strength, that probably translates into poor hand & eye coordination in FPS shooter games. So games already take into account real world physical fitness, and you need a fair level of real world physical fitness to play at the top of E-Sport games. and yes having a pilots licence would probably help you 100% in the game Microsoft Flight SImulator, knowing how to fly a plane over a novice, knowing how to taxi a plane, report to tower control, read the terrain maps to get to another air port etc etc having real world fitness and experience translates into the gaming world. I will give you a personal example, I am 50+ y/o I cannot play World of Warcraft for more than about 3-4 hours at a time before I need to take a nap, but 20 y/o's can raid for 48 hours straight. So I could probably never be part of a World First Dungeon Completion Run, or have the BEST! gear because I can't raid enough for long enough. Understand?

This is getting pretty close to the ideal VR experience but I'm sure it can get even better. I wouldn't really use these kinds of treadmills to "run" in VR games, I just really want to be able to walk around with my legs without using a stick or teleporting in-game. And I want to be able to bend over to pick up items on the ground. And I want to jump (combined with running) if I'm playing a platformer for example. We need a way for the average consumer to move freely in virtual environments like they're in a huge hangar and running into a wall is rather unlikely. We need to make running into walls impossible. I hope we can come up with ideas to make that happen in the future.
