Omija Cheong - Korean Syrup for tea and ade
Omija Cheong (오미자청)- These berries are known to have five flavors. Sweet, spicy, salty, sour, and bitter if you bite into the seed. Omija berries are made into a tea by making syrup with white sugar. It’s super simple, and it just takes time. The tea, in my opinion, has a somewhat similar flavor to cranberry. You can find this drink in supermarkets, convenience stores, and the traditional markets of Korea, or make it at home like I did.
