This was very emotional. I’m so proud to have served 22 years with my brothers and sisters in the US military.

What a great, heartfelt reaction! Congratulations to you for your empathy and sincere response to what was truly a horror story for Jessica and an act of courage by the heroes who traveled 5,000 miles and risked their lives to bring her home. This story will be told in a movie someday. It just has to be.

It's so sad when she said she tried to protect herself by pulling the blanket up. She felt her only protection was a blanket.

Jessica talks in another video that the government offers a hostage program. Jessica's first meeting with her husband was 5 minutes and was supervised because it could get to overwhelming. She also went through counseling to regain her confidence and ability to make decisions for herself because for three months that was all taken away.

The kidnappers demanded 45 million dollars ransom which the US government refused and then they mounted a rescue that cost around a hundred million. HOWEVER, the US CANNOT pay ransom for American citizens or every two-bit criminal in every country on earth would be kidnapping Americans so they could hit the jackpot when ransom was paid. These kidnappers didn't get ransom. They got an end to their lives which sends a very strong message to others who would try the same thing. I'm so glad that Jessica was rescued and I do not begrudge the hundred million dollars that was spent getting her back home safely because the message it sent was worth many times more than that and has to be considered when we think about how much this mission cost. I'm so glad she lived to become a mother to that sweet little baby boy. Well done, Jessica and well done, Navy Seals.

By now you should be tired of trying to convince people that one mission cost $100 million. Anyone with common since knows it didn't.

Taking nothing from Jessica's courage and will to survive I ask: what took Obama forever to green light this rescue?

Are you thinking about Jessica Lynch? This is about Jessica Buchanan. Two separate rescues but the former was fraudulently represented by the media.

@@roadwary56 Your right. wrong fraud. Lynch and the whole rescue was fabrication out of Langley for propaganda. To many of these projects they blur together since they are the same script writers.
