@@ZozillaThaGreat I must be honest the noise emission of the fan is quite high, you would want keep your mic close to you and far from the machine and ensure you have noise remover in your sound software activated.

@@That_swaggygirl yup it will. I mean I run all dev tools on it, vs2022, vs2019, sql server, android studio, IntelliJ, eclipse and many stuff, it will of course.

Just had the 17 with the i7/3070 to replace my desktop 3070 (energy prices are a joke so makes sense for long sessions). Have to say I'm very impressed, it's obviously less powerful than the desktop 3070 master I've got. But the drop from 4K gaming to 1440p has been great thanks to the 17.3in IPS panel it comes with. Performance is also stellar on pretty much every title I've tried! Would highly recommend 👌🏻👍🏻

I got this laptop 3 days ago. The biggest problem I've experienced which comes very close to ruining the laptop for me is how absolutely flimsy the screen is...I'm typing on it right now and the screen constantly wobbles with the slightest touch. Knowing this before hand would've stopped me from purchasing it. Only work around would be to connect external display, keyboard & mouse. Otherwise the machine itself is not bad. 6/10 @Tech Spurt, not your fault btw. I'm just adding it here so other people can be aware.

By the way, the Type C port does not support Thunderbolt devises using type C. So the Oculus Quest would not connect using the standard cable. I guess it can work with the type C to A cable.

Got the HP Omen 15 with R7 4800H/GTX 1650 Ti in 2020 and still holds up today. Can do 1080p/60fps in low/med settings for modern AAA games. The Omen laptop is like the quiet but really cool kid at the back of the class.

Isn't there a 2022 version of this laptop with a 6650M. This seems to be the 2021 model.

Be careful folks as Most of the HP omen 16 laptops in 2022 have a well known manufacturing fault of touchpad not responding on the left hand side your entitled to a full refund or replacement.

Will this work for unreal engine? I just got it but I need help tho. It’s good overall but it over heated first time playing Genshin and the loading speed felt the same but a bit faster from my other Hp.I also want to upgrade to 32gb soon but I just really wanna know if it’s good for game development. As a person who just bought this particular model...yes. The screen wobble on this laptop is HORRIBLE

My dad wanted to get me a MacBook but i convinced him to get me this gaming laptop which is cheaper

Just scored one of these a few weeks ago in the 5800H / 3070 (16/512 NVME) variety for 999.- CHF (896.- £, 1013.- €, 1079.- $) and put 2x16 GB RAM & 2x Kingston KC3000 NVME SSDs in it as it supports PCI 4. Set me back another 308.- CHF (276 £, 312 €, 276$) and it's a friggin hoot. Only snag: I seem not to be able to get in the advanced BIOS. Any tips?

I got this for £799 from Currys and really liked it. The only issue with my unit was that the trackpad kept periodically freezing and lagging, making it pretty much unusable at times.

Apparently there's a setting in the BIOS related to "Adaptive battery [something]" that's meant to protect the battery by not letting it stay at 100% all the time. Check out Bob of all Trades' channel. I remember him having a video about it.

In the summer of 2023, I purchased the HP Omen 17.3-inch laptop which has a 165Hz refresh rate. I primarily use it for graphic design and gaming. This machine is extremely fast and powerful and I am highly satisfied with its performance. The only downside is its battery life, but overall, it is a decent gaming laptop. I would rate it 8.5 out of 10.
