I gave thumbs up. I have been wanting a seamaster forever and especially this version 2012 non wave. (Recent version is thicker and less elegant and has a thumbprint impression from the etched wave) and I finally bought one new recently. However, now that I have been trying it on and looking it over, for some reason I can't seem to be connecting w it. I'm not in love like when I bought a carrera. I don't know .I think it may have to do w the bracelet being straight and not curved or tapered. I think about maybe putting on a black leather nato on it. But I'm afraid to do that and find out I still don't connect with it, and then nullifying my ability to return it within its time frame. I'm still debating if I want to keep it. It is real sweet yes I agree w you. But I just don't feel anything wearing it on my wrist. 😞

You might want to try an Erika's original strap. But that's the thing with this hobby, you can easily fall out of love with a watch and vice versa, and it can happen any period of time you own it. Maybe you can buy a used model and if you fall out of love, you can sell it and not lose too much money. 🤷♂️
@bryanryan4504

Also a few other things I have a gripe about: The bezel is sort of a couple mms above the case so it looks like lot of crud and dust can get stuck up in that crevice. I don't own a diver like this so it is hard to compare if this is the case w divers in general. Also the bezel (at least on mine) has some vertical play meaning if I push on it down it springs down and up. Don't know if it is normal. The dial with it being so black and no texture is a bit sterile. While in photos and in video it is very photogenic. The screw crown is hard to determine if I'm winding or actually screwing back closed. I can't discern the difference. And I can't seem to screw closed satisfactorily, like as if there's feeling of it can tighten a bit more but my fingertips are too slippy I can't go further. Anyways what I mean the screwdown crown action is not the best in my opinion on this.
