By sheer coincidence, we've now featured two watches I own on the channel in a single week. The Sinn EZM was my actual watch, but this Omega is the model I own without being the actual unit I own. Enjoy this classic; I have for 16 years! Best, Tim

I found my watch in the trash during a clean out, at the time I only kept it because it was the only one that worked lol! Sooooooo glad I did😊 😊 and yes it’s the real deal, 👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾🥰
My best watch, 42 years later. I’ve had many, now sold, this is the one I keep for life.
I think this watch is all time legend
Still my favorite watch,. Best bracelet on any watch. Bought mine in 2002.
My first luxury watch, a present of my mother to me. Legendary piece, done wright in every aspect and it will remain in my collection for ever. It can be everyday watch, a dress watch or o sport/diver watch. And when i checked the price this month, it seems it gained in value significantly over the last decade (from 1500$ to a 3000$), which is nice confirmation of it's greatness.
A timepiece that deserves it's popularity - It just does everything absolutely right from a design perspective. I love the shorter hands on this model and the skeleton design overall - for some reason I can't explain - it just looks so unique and fantastic like that - and seems to make reading the dial a breeze. That watch looks Mint condition - very tempting.
Without a doubt the favorite watch in my collection. Impossible to explain but as soon as I slip the bracelet on my wrist the feeling is pure pleasure. The watch face is a delight. Mine is a keeper.

I just traded a Speedy Reduced for one of these. Almost completely because the bracelet is better and I love the wave dial
Nice review. I picked one of these up for $1,700 at an AD after they were discontinued. I have worn it diving many times. It was stellar at 120’ in Grand Cayman. The bezel is easily gripped when wet with sea water, but is very slippery in fresh water. I wasn’t sure about the skeleton hands at first. I came to realize all three hands are easily read, even when overlapping. This is the watch I never see myself selling!❤️
Thank you for taking me back to the early 2000s. After owing a Tag F1 at 13yrs old (I worked for it). This omega was my first proper luxury watch.
It really is the perfect watch. Suits the gamut from wearing a Tux to chino shorts.
Got one of these around 20 years ago as a daily wearer and still love it. Added other watches to my collection over the years but always a soft spot for this one. Recently put it on a milanese bracelet which really gives it a different look. Kind of vintage and esthetically pleasing, matches the hippocampus cashback perfectly.
A stunning watch with that Bond connection. My first luxury watch back in year 2000 and then as part of a growing collection I enjoyed it for over 10 years before selling it due to buying a house. I regret it to this day, as mint conditioned 2531.80s are going for £2500- 3000 in late 2021. A recently bought Black Bay 58 navy blue has satisfied my lingering urge for a cracking quality blue dial diver, with superb modern in house COSC movement, 70 hrs reserve and staggering lume.
My first proper watch
Mine's arriving today!! I've had the midsize quartz previously, but now it's time for the real one 😊
Lucky bastard, you got that from graduation
This Omega became my first Omega I have ever owned! I picked it up in a nationally run thrift store chain today for a tenth of its present retail value! Saw it sitting behind the glass in a sea of cheap quartz watches! Wow! There is some minor wear in the form of two small chips out of the crystal(though they have to be seen with a loupe) and some of the silver plating is worn off on the inside of the bracelet, but it runs like a champ after I wound it up! Black bezel with a black dial that has the smaller spaced waves in it. Any way to tell the exact year it was made? Great review with a lot of valuable information!
I bought this watch new, on 47th Street, for $950 around 1997. At that time they were offering it in both self-winding and quartz versions. I got the self-wind. Apparently, Bond (Pierce Brosnan) actually wore the quartz. In later versions of the watch, Omega changed the date wheel from black digits on a white background to white digits on a black background. That "upgrade" was no improvement. The dark background date indicator blends in visually with the blue dial, but the white-background on the original watch, shown in this video, makes the date indicator--which is positioned to replace most of what would have been the 3 o'clock marker--closely match the white markers in all the other hour positions. So the date indicator actually blends in better in the original design than in the "improved" version.
Tim, I have a 2531.80 on the way. Should i hold out for the new wave dial 2018 version on bracelet or stick with the bond? Would love your thoughts.
My second luxury watch(Datejust was my first). Bought it new in 2000 and still have it(Datejust is gone). Great watch, still worn and running COSC with only 1 service in 20 years.

About 10 years ago I went to buy my first luxury watch. I had been looking at the Rolex Kermit on pictures, I called the shop, they had it. But seeing it in real life I wasn't that impressed. Then the seller put a couple of other watches next to it, among them the Omega Seamaster co-axial with the black wave dial. It looked stunning next to the Kermit, and I bought it. People should hold Submariners and Seamasters from the same time period next to each other and feel the quality of the Seamasters.

Agreed. Especially back in 2002 when I received my SMP 300, the Sub had hollow lugs, hollow center links in the bracelet, a stamped clasp that felt like tin foil... the Omega felt like an Audemars Piguet by comparison. Best, Tim

But when come into keeping value and inflated prices, reality hits hard. Wish you had bought kermit than omega sea.

Vincent Ong Rolexes has really gone up in prices, but I don't agree with this argument. The Kermit was slightly more than twice the price when I bought the Seamaster - if I put the money I saved in an index fund I would about triple that money in 10 years. And with lower risk, and with an investment that is easier to sell. In my case, I would go out more or less even. And yes, even my Seamaster got up in value a little bit ;) Watches is not a financial investment for most of us. Sometimes someone gets lucky, the real buisness I leave to professionals.
Had mine since 1995, was a present from my boss.

Same here, the watch that started my watch collecting disease...
Beautiful watch
My favorite..I have the midsize one..
I'm realizing how weird it is that I wear my Tudor GMT on a daily basis to keep my 1998 Seamaster in nearly new condition. The watch that's worth almost twice as much is my tool watch?
My favorite omega ref right here. This looks better than the new seamaster pros in my opinion. Would this watch be considered vintage nowadays?
My favorite watch. My wife bought me one for my 30th birthday. I'm 52 now. Still works perfectly. Wish i could get the same watch slightly bigger now. But for the time it was perfection. I spoke with Pierce Brosnan earlier this year at the airport. I was wearing the watch and forgot to show him!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best and most timeless. I have the 2220.80 myself. And the helium valve was actually used as a detonator in Die Another Day. Don't think it was a grenade in Goldeneye.. Lol..

It was for those sticky mines he uses in goldeneye if you remember them? He sticks them on some fuel tanks near the end. Although the button seemed to deactivate them rather than set them off. 006 presses the button to turn them off.
El reloj perfecto👌👍
