While it may be considered a "dress" piece today, it very much was a tool watch. A beefy steel case with a high contrast dial with a "scientific"/sector dial for easy and accurate time reading, it was an advancement in utility in the 30s and 40s.
I am wearing my Longines Zulu GMT in green color with tan color leather strap.

Thanks. I’m not crazy about green watches, but that one with only the green bezel just works.
Absolutely beautiful. Fantastic dial , vintage logo typeface and Arabics spot on. As for those hands, you'd be constantly turning your wrist to catch that blue steel. What a complimentary piece to the sportier Chronoscope.
Thanks for bringing this to light, it's a stunning Omega piece, and I just love these Omega manual wind co-ax's. Plus, I really love the way you say two, to or too, very poetic 🙂
I only just got my Moonwatch recently, If not I'd totally add this piece to my collection! Well done Omega!!!
Great review of a great watch. People have compared this Omega to the Longines - good comparison, but you would get the one you can afford. As for water resistance, most "dress" watches do not have a high water resistance rating. Check Patek's dress watch water resistance ratings.
Own it. Love it. Amazing strap monster. Weekend & evening watch paired with my explorer 114270 as a daily
Fall in love with this watch at first glance. I like the vintage style and these few changes that make it more casual. I have bought one. Thanks for sharing.
Fully agree with you about this beauty watch, I have one myself, and it is a great discreet stunning sensational one, even though it does not have a crown a logo ;-)! Keep them coming!!!
On my wrist: Also the Omega SMP 300m white dial. It took me a while to save up for this and I originally wanted the PO 39.5 or 42mm. I went to my AD and this Seamaster just spoke to me the most. I got it to celebrate a huge step up in my profession and I’m just getting started. This is a beautiful watch you reviewed, great video bro!
I bought the speed master professional moon watch sapphire sandwich about 6 weeks ago and currently wearing my Tudor black bay chronograph S & G on a gorgeous aged brown leather strap with the shield buckle , a gorgeous piece . Also love the omega in this video just beautiful
Such a beautiful watch!! I love dress watches especially f or casual wear. I would throw it on a beautiful oily suede strap. I think part of the reason GS is so popular as it hybridized sports and dress watches. I just recently recently received the railmaster seamaster in denim blue. Another super underrated watch with amazing aesthetics and value to boot. Thanks for the review!

I agree, love my Grand Seiko SBGH295. I classify it as a great everyday watch with sporty and elegant elements. GS does a great job at making a watch that isn't too sporty or dressy and falls in the middle! The seamaster railmaster with blue dial is super nice too; enjoy it!
Amazing watch, beautiful piece. i didnt knew that model, thank you for sharing

Great video! Is the watch available in the US? I am not finding it on the Omega website. Edit: never mind, i needed to use a space between CK and 859. Thanks again.
Loving the look of the CK859, currently wearing the Tudor Pelagos 39, on an orange alligator strap.
This has become my absolute favorite Omega! Just perfect!
Completely agree, that’s a beautiful watch, I’ve added it to my “of interest” list . Well done for bringing attention to this

Great piece…I have one myself and love it. On my wrist is Tudor Pelagos FXD
I would love to see you review a Stowa Marine classic 36. The handwound version. Stowa to me is one of the best kept secrets in watches. You get so much watch for $1000.
This is utterly stunning bravo Omega and thanks for the great video
Not to shabby, maybe one to think about for my collection, reminds me of the two other vintage style omegas which where limited editions the 1948 I believe... Wearing a tudor black bay 58 blue today.
Dress watch for me does not necessarily mean "only special occasion" but simply is a stylistic description. I wear my dress watches to a tracksuit if I feel like it and feels it fits the fit :) Some dress watches I have I only take out for as said special occasions but I have divers and pilots I only use for that too. I encourage to stylistically let oneself lose - not practically - dont take this beauty for a deep dive pls - but wear it to the right shorts for sure
I wear the Seamaster 1948 Limited Edition 😊 with central seconds 😊😊. Was sooo lucky to get one. The CK is also on my list. Own lots of Omega dive watches. Came around Seamaster Dress Watches some months ago. I also own my late dads original Seamaster from 1948 ....
Beautiful watch! Agree, this is an underrated Omega watch, although for my budget I might go with the Longines sector dial. Wearing a blue Oris Aquis today. Also congratulations on 10k subscribers!
Stunning model from Omega!
Good video. Stunning watch. I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one that enjoys the smell of a leather watch strap. I'm wearing my Hamilton khaki aviation today. Cheers.

Thanks for the vid defo something different and interesting to the usual Seamaster and Speedmaster 👍
Can omega make a new sports watch with lumed numerals without patina without a helium escape valve and no bigger than 40mm is it that hard??
Great review. Wearing my 2531.80 today
congrats on the 10k
Swapped the strap out on mine immediately for a distressed blue leather. It looks amazing.

Good choice!
Beautiful watch and I'm wearing an Oris big crown on a blue suede strap.
I’m struggling these days to get my head round the thickness of some of Omegas watches. How is this near enough the same thickness as a BB58, a 200m WR automatic watch, versus this manual wind minimal WR piece.

The watch looks great on the wrist. Can even forgive absence of automatic function. Yes it is wider than automatic Master Control Ultra thin from JLC, but the dial is just worth it. But the strap kills the package in my eyes. Finer croc would have been so much better. But it is not even an option.

Wrist check: The Ollech & Wajs Early Bird. My vintage piece everyday watch. It's beautiful in all its simplicity.
stunning piece.
Gorgeous dial. But a dress watch should be thinner. Unfortunately Omega still hasn't found a way to slim down their co-axial movements. As a result the thickness is on par with popular sports watches.
Simply stunning

It's unbelievable beautiful you don't want to look away from it , that's a watch that says look at me look at me again
My dad had two similar ones from the 50s one steel the other gold. I wish omega still made these available as well. As the 1948 Seamaster
Beautiful watch. I really love my Christopher ward watches very underrated
This seems like an everyday watch - not a special occasion watch. Also, I must say a polished steel bezel is pretty standard. I guess I don't have the same level of concern about scratches. This should wear and age just fine! Omega really nailed it with this one!

Totally agree, too much focus on categorizing watches and when you can wear what. To me it looks like a vintage classic everyday watch (beautiful), even though if you try hard enough sure it will fall into the dressier class. People need to stop classify, ironically the dress watch would probably fit more people in everyday life than a diver / sport watch which rarely sees even minimal water anyway. Who want to try out its robustness in the ocean? See if the sand scratches between the links? Few is my bet. I'm wearing a Omega De Ville Prestige as everyday and I think it looks better than a sportwatch from sweater to formal. Like sporty more? Wear it, but dont think it will be a objectivly better watch for everyday normal wear, wear it because you like it.

Agree. The important thing is the style you want to show but not the category the watch belongs to.

Very nice, but I think I still like the Longines Marine National better. But I do like that the Omega is a manual wind.
Seen it today. I want one.
I am wearing my submariner 14060M, however, I wish I was wearing my zenith heritage ultra slim!!! This is one of the most beautiful Omega’s I think I’ve ever seen!!!
Killer watch!
Beautiful “Amiga” watch!
what is the the lug to lug distance?
I just got my Omega Seamaster 300 42m blue dail l definitely add another a Omega watch brand to my collection my Seamaster 42m keeps better timing than my other watches in my collection highly recommend Omega watches ⌚️
Beautiful watch! Really wish it was a tad smaller, say 37mm.
It is a classic piece. And it is beautiful. Not sure why youtube hasn’t exploded for this watch yet.
Wearing my everyday iwc mark xv on a green nato. And I thought this was a sleeper hit when I saw it those blues hands remind me of fountain pens
It is an amazing watch, must admit I also missed this one… the green seamaster tole the show from this… thanks for letting me know this model…

@@ChisholmHunterOfficial I checked this watch in a Boutique and it is truly amazing, it is really hidden on website and pertty much everywhere if you do not ask for it, probably never shown…
Waltham A-11 from 1943. NOS olive canvas strap. Small for me but I don’t care. 80 years old, worn often and loved. This Omega is a beauty, but I obviously have a soft spot for vintage or vintage inspired.
Great looking watch! But it is numbered AND limited. Check, out the warranty card and you will see how many will be produced. Just over ~2900 if I remember correctly…
@andrpers14
2 жыл бұрын
Says nothing of limitation. Just numbered Im afraid
Love the dial and its 39mm size, but then again, a dress watch, hand-wound movement.. why 12.4 mm ??
Feel it needs an alligator strap, even as a daily wear. That being said, I've seen it on a Nato and it looked fabulous as it brought out the tool/military side to it.
That's a lovely watch. I think the dial would look better without the middle minutes chapter-ring, which adds clutter and is of no additional use. A silver-cased version, to match the dial, would look really handsome. Jesse's Watches: This week, I am mostly wearing my Speedmaster FOiS on tan leather strap, possibly to be replaced by Forstner JB Champion mesh bracelet with cow-horns, for that authentic pre-Moon look.

wristcheck: Omega 1370cal Quartz from 1979 in gold! just got it polished today!:)
It’s unique and beautiful, BUT in my mind it’s more expensive than I’d like.
What’s with the winter jacket in the middle of summer???
@ChisholmHunterOfficial

Summer in Scotland doesn't exist lol
Omega should not have printed the Ag925 on the dial. Looks like some watermark on a picture. But otherwise, an absolutely beautiful watch.
Price?
I like the piece but something seems off on this. Maybe the hands seem too large for the dial? Maybe the outer ring shouldn’t be as wide? Not totally sure but something appears off.
Overall this is a very good video. Chisholm, please let us know your wrist size and when displaying the (wonderful) watch move it slowly and hold it still for a few seconds at least. Thank you. Omegamic ;-)

classic
Oh-may-gah!
the hands are heat-treated steel- it's what gives the "blueing".
I don't feel this is a dress watch it's too thick and the aesthetics aren't right, unfortunately the limited water resistance means it's not really an everyday watch. I love the coax escapement movement but if it means that a 12.5mm thick watch can be neither automatic or properly water resistant I wonder if that movement is appropriate in this watch.

Stop saying Crystal Glass. Crystal and glass are not the same category of materials. It's Saphire crystal.
The most accurate clickbait title I’ve ever see… omega didn’t announce the watch, they don’t advertise it, and it’s not easy to find on their website
Worthy of a grail watch
Honestly, it's a tossup between this and the medium Cartier Santos. Also, I saw this watch in Sedna gold although it's 17k.
