How is this project coming along? We need an update!

It runs. I burned up the bearings in the upper on the outdrive because I didn't understand there are two separate oil areas to check. 3 if you count the intermediate housing. Lesson learned. I may take it out this weekend. Thank you for your interest.

What kind of oil did you use?

I used power steering back then but I think I will use a heavier weight next time since it leaks some

Jamie McIver sounds good thanks for the reply! Mine is leaking a bit on the port side as well

hey man - can you take a pic of the wiring of the pump solenoids and send it to my via e-mail please? I got 175 omc - but has same set-up - when I bought there was no pump at all

John I can't post pics on this thread but I'd be glad to email you some. I'm not sure pics will even help. I know this was long ago. Have you made progress?
