Why? And this isn't [technically] "his first acting." He's been a singer on stage for years. Accept it or not, but as soon as one gets on stage in front of a crowd, one is acting, even if only a tiny bit. The only difference is a live crowd vs a camera and crew [which at that moment may seem like a crowd].

Omar was in LA for his music and the main Netflix used the opportunity to film promo with him at their main headquarters in LA. Promo that includes the others was filmed in Stockholm for Netflix Nordic and is posted on their KZread channel.

Watching YR also brought me back to being 16 all over again. The butterflies that just want to explode your stomach from just having an accidental touch of hands with the one you love. The first trembling kiss and how you are just overpowered by being in love. I'm 30+ and have two kids now, but this series made me realise that love can blossom in so much worse conditions than just juggling everyday life together. I fell in love with my parter again and won't let anything stop me from showing my attraction whenever I feel it. We just hug more now, and the butterflies are back. Love is not complicated, life is. Don't let all other issues kill something good. Thanks Young Royals ❤

@@music0452 I can agree with that. Their immediate chemistry definitely impacted the success of YR. They rewrote the “Simon” character to fit Omar after their chemistry read. Then their true friendship brought the trust. This pairing was magical.
