Assalamualaikum. This video is quite old but I would like to leave my story for others to read and learn from or give their opinion of, Insha'Allah. Allah knows best but here goes my perspective: I was born in USA and thus raised Christian (didn't go to church frequently but the values were instilled in me). At the age of 4 years, I saw something (I believe it was a jinn) and it haunted my soul and mind for years ...from frequent extreme nightmares to eventually at around age 12 I began to hear voices and sometimes feel or see things. I prayed and begged GOD to show me the truth and finally one night I felt like something visited me but I didn't feel completely scared, just unusual...anyway, I didn't hear a voice this time I just felt like I was being told that the truth is to be sought not by the words of man but by genuine desire to follow GOD. I didn't know what this meant at the time. I just remember feeling relieved. Years later, by the will of Allah, I met a Muslim man who at first I was wary of due to prejudice. However, his attitude was such that I was curious and started to trust him. He told me about Islam and 90% of what I heard I already believed. I was scared, confused, angry and began to dive deeper into Christianity while still listening to lectures of Islam and asking questions. Finally I relocated to another city, ironically finding myself working with even more Muslims. One of which was a kind older man who showed me the mosque. I took shahada and alhamdullilah I am Muslim. I can't help but wonder, why me? Who or what was it that visited me that night and told me to keep searching for answers? Why at the age of 4 did I experience what I did? Anyway, Allah knows best and Insha'Allah see you in Jannah, thanks for reading. Jazāk Allāhu Khayran. 🙏❤️

I don't know so much to comment about your particular story a religious scholar may help you understand that but what I know though I have very limited knowledge is that we as souls took an oath so the answer to why you may be because you took that oath. It's called Ehd e Alast mentioned in Sura e Al Er'aaf. Also when you have a desire to find the truth Allah gives it to you

I almost cried while taking notes. He was Customized for Islam Subhan'Allah. His name Omar Faruk means who acknowledges between from true and false and eliminates the false. Angels were talking to him. The virtues: 1. His honesty 2. He had quran written bcz the ones who memorised were getting murdered 3. Prophet SAW had dreams about him the best. He was extremely knowagable and eager to know more. He's sincere and cried after hearing at his place in Jannah. 4. Saytan doesn't want to be never him ca he's always doing zikr. 5. His ibaddat night long qiyam reading quran and crying had tunnels under his eyes 6. Be mindful of prayer. 6. He did justice. 7. He prayed to be lenient n merciful 8. His humility he humbly took cretinisms 9. He used to take naps under trees and didn't complain when someone said u hv 2 pieces of clothes when we all hv only 1. He wanted to be rewarded into after life 10. He held himself accountable. He also feared his supplications were less.

I have always admired Omer r and wanted to name my son Omer and Alhamdulillah Allah Swt gifted me with a son I named him Omer I made him hafiz of Quran with the grace of Allah Swt Alhamdulillah I request all my brothers and sisters to pry for him to become Farooq in shaa Allah and become an example of Omer in our times 😢

Omar Ibn Al'khattab, on his way to receive the keys for Jerusalem after defeating two super powers at the same time and becoming defacto the most powerful man in the world, wore his usual old garments with patches and stitches on it despite complaints from sahaba that he should be more presentable so that the Stewards of Jerusalem would respect and honor him. He said: " _We are a people whom Allah has made honored with Islam. If we seek honor anywhere else, he will make us the most humiliated people on earth_ ". And he went to Jerusalem, alternating rides between him and his one servant on a single donkey, no other entourage with him. And truly, look where we are now. Trying to assimilate with the mentality of the west and every disbeliever. And there is no people on earth more humiliated than us. Allah does not change a people's affairs untill they change themselves.

The dedication, his acceptance of Islam, love for the Prophet S.A.W.And then you realise were not even close to that level of devotion. I was literally sat and the lectures about umar Ra showed up i literally cried out tears when i started to compare my sinful self with him. May Allah guide us all to the right path and make us a better muslim and spread the deen all over the globe.

Oh allah I ask you to make me of those who will meet Omar Ibn Khattab and our beloved Prophet Mohammad SAW, and all those who you love. Ameen yarb.

Anyone else just impressed by how nice Omar Suleiman’s beard looks Ik it’s irrelevant but it’s very well taken care of mashallah. Just felt like pointing it out haha.

Such sincerity, honesty, justice can not come except from someone who has an IQ level far above the normal human رضي الله عن عمر

Ma Sha Allah, great name! While names may or may not have intrinsic value, they definitely do have extrinsic value. From personal experience, I often find myself motivated to go an extra yard in my studies, social responsibilities, etc. whenever I read about Umar (RA) and the other Sahaba (RA). I am extremely grateful that my parents named me after a true leader and a role model, Alhamdulillah, and I'm sure your son will be grateful to you as well, In Sha Allah.

The story of the poor mother in the desert cursing the Khalifah while pretending to cook/ feed her children rocks- When Allah guided you -you found her, but you understood and accepted that it was YOUR responsibility to know about her ... although in desert .. SupnA this level of commitment to truth, Justice, mercy to women/children is what our ummah misses today.. this lack of HaQQ and responsibility destroys our families, and communities , some of our youth.
