I started this game seriously in 06 and I used Hutchison’s Omaha point system.

Was just revisiting Hutchison's -- haven't looked into it too much, but from a quick glance; it looks like it may discount the value of high cards. IE, it seems to give a random 5; 4 points, and a K; 2 points. Ideally, you want to have a combination of nutted low and high cards; so this seems to make it less efficient than optimal. Ie. I'd much prefer AK23 over A235 for example. For O8, that added king gives you a significant equity advantage over A235.

Three betting on the flop is good in the first hand if you feel you have the best hand, and want to get heads up with the possible draw hand.

Basically in a 9 ring game you are using your bet sizing to squeeze the 3rd player of half of their chips.

I thought in Omaha you have to play both hole cards not 4 on board and one in hand.

Not an Omaha Hi/Lo player, but doesn’t the 2 or 3 on the river of the last hand still give him a low?

it does yes but a bad one.. a "3-8 or 2-8" low and I would have had a "4-6 low" and would have won both ways. Bart

CrushlivePoker I appreciate your response. Of all the vloggers I watch, I feel that I retain the most information from the way you explain different scenarios.

@Cousin Jimmy Farha thats not how you announce your hand in Omaha 8 or better. IF I have A2 on a board of 754KK my low is "A2" not a "75 low". His low is "3-8 or 2-8" in that example and my low is "4-6". Just like when players say "live ace" or "live deuce" etc.. This is because omaha is a community card game. In razz or stud 8 you announce your low hand from the top down. Bart

@Cousin Jimmy Farha Just like you say in holdem holding ATos on a K2773 board "ace ten high", right? As opposed to ace high? No one that plays omaha 8 or better announces their low hand based upon the highest five cards that play.. its a community card game you announce whats in your hand. This is why holding A2 on a A578K board is a "live deuce" not an "8752A low" and the person that has QQA3 on the same board has a "live 3" not an "8753A" low.. and the guy with JJ43 on the same board has a "34 low" and has the best low. This is how you differentiate the hands
