30mm, f/8 and fixed focus was what some film point and shoots had back in the 90s. The bodycap makes a great digi lomo lens, with the right post processing.
Bought this for 55 on the bay and also bought the 7artisans f5.6 clone. Thanks for the review.
It's always useful to have limitations in your gear and find away to work that into your creative process. Anyone can take a sharp photo so I don't get the fascination with pixel peeping
Excellent video Eli, making photography fun is a great boost to creativity and makes you happy. Exhibition in Ct Myo...brilliant, wish I could be there. Well deserved, thanks for posting.
Very interesting! I've been thinking about getting a couple of these to throw on my GH5 cameras in case I want to snap something quickly and don't have time to put a lens on.
I have the ttartisan 18mm lens cap paired in my Olympus E-P1 and shooting with the BW ART filter is the most fun experience i have ever ✨ I really love the photos produced with this setup ❤
Excellent video, I agree, it’s nice to step out of your comfort zone. Good luck with the exhibition 🎉
Really interesting, like your idea of the Indy music vid. Cheap enough to take a punt. Also have a tiny PM1 and would truly make the camera pocket sized. I am also considering both the 14mm f2.5 and the 20mm f1.7, Look forward to your vid on the 14mm.
The 7 artisans 18mm f6.3 seems to do about the same for Sony e mount at only €65 I might check it out at some point!
I've wondered about that on an E-M10 series camera. I imagine slipping the whole rig into a jacket pocket. I can make a decent portrait with a cheap fisheye lens, I don't see a problem with that. To me, two questions matter. Can I make a decent photo with this? Do I want to make photos with that setup. For me, the answers regarding Sony cameras would be yes, no.
Could this be a good mimic lens for the Lomo LC-A film camera
I just picked one up, and it's fun. It's technically terrible, but it's a whole lot of fun for $30.

I've just got my hands on the 9mm one and it's so much more terrible - but still fun!
I have an OMD EM5 mkii too, have u you had trouble with hot pixels?
Been watching this setup a while on ebay ...lots of japanese ebay companies selling these with the ep SERIES of cameras
Did you shoot any video through that lens?
