Especially considering they were (in Lionel’s mind at least) fierce rivals.

Jan helping Lionel in any way is great news for the sport in my opinion!

I raced the same race as Javier Gomez Noya and I think his performance was quite special. It's true that there was no big competition, but for example he outswam Emilio Aguayo by 1:30 or so, who was less than a minute back on the swim of 70.3 Valencia against the likes of Leo Bergere, etc. (Emilio Aguayo is also used to swim front pack). The bike is more difficult to measure and I think he hasn't the level of other competitors in the T100 series, but the run was also out of this world. Even if the course was a little short running a 1:10 in that circuit is really hard. There were lots of 180° turns and hills, which didn't allow to maintain an steady pace at all. Besiees, he didn't look as he was forcing or struggling at all. I really think he can perform really well this Saturday in San Francisco!

Great News on Wildflower!! Raced there in 1996 during a cross country trip! It was a blast. Hopefully the bring back the Naked aid station in the woods/ trail section. :)

When you talk about the fastest times, you need to specify what the distance was. For example, in Hamburg, the bike leg and the run leg were shorter.

If I'm tracking with your thought here... Wouldn't it be far more confusing if we say, "fastest time for a 139.8 mile race... and third on a 140.1 mile race... etc." ?

I was there in Salou, probably the best run course I had ever seen!

def will be a hard swim for him, butttttt strongest legs in triathlon so..... never know lol
