    I don’t think young kids realize what a beast this man was in the 80’s . Not many guys defeat grizzly bears to save the maidens fair!

    An old competitor saying it’s too risky to try new things. Cmon… same thing with Simone Biles. If you can’t do the trick. Don’t join the competition pool. If there is no competition pool for your trick, you win.

    Also - because few of these young "instant champions" stick around long enough to get a following - professional skating no longer exists, which in the 80's and 90's and early 2000s was a viable career.
