10 Times Olympic Athletes Broke The Rules And Had Consequences For It.
Olympic athletes are always looking for something to put them over the edge over their competitors. At such a high level of competition, a little edge determines who’s getting the gold medal, who’s getting the silver, and who’s getting the bronze medal. Some say almost all athletes cheat, it’s just that they don’t get caught. Breaking the rules can be devastating after years of hard work. With the upcoming Tokyo 2020, or 2021 Olympics, there’s bound to be controversy even though there are no spectators.
One of the United States most captivating athletes, known for her brightly colored hair, long fingernails and magnetic personality will not be able to compete in the 100-meter event at 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Twelve-time Olympic medalist and eight-time Olympic gold medalist, Ryan Lochte, was suspended for 14 months after an Instagram post. He shared a photo of himself using an IV to inject vitamins, which is banned by the US Anti-Doping Agency. In light of that evidence, in 2013, the International Olympic Committee nullified the bronze medal Lance Armstrong won for the men's road time trial at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Hamilton even took home a gold medal in the time trials. That medal was subsequently stripped when it was revealed that Hamilton had been doping. In 2007, Marion Jones admitted that she had been using steroids prior and during the games. She was subsequently stripped of her multiple 2000 games medals.

Sorry but sha'carri knew the rules. The laws that the international Olympic committee has maybe outdated but they are still in place. If she didn't want to get removed from the 100m race and risk not running in the 4x100m relay then maybe she should have not used a banned substance to help with the loss of her mother. But hey she used a banned substance and she is paying the consequences. Just like if someone is caught breaking a law in the streets they go to jail, so when an athlete is caught they are banned and that is what they deserve.

@@pastakey4730 she broke the rules. You can not use a banned substance and compete. That is why Russian athletes are banned from representing Russia because dopping happened and they broke the rules.

I don't get it when they cheat, if you win that's bc your the best but if you won bc of cheating thats because you knew you weren't going to win. its also very selfish on the people who work hard.

And now they’ve found that certain training techniques can result in chemicals in your blood that result in false positives for doping. The high altitude training simulator is now on a watch list of machines that can result in athletes being banning for doping even when they aren’t. Basically, the machine limits oxygen as if the athlete is at a high altitude during training resulting in the body making more red blood cells. By donating blood and not having it retransfused at a certain point before a competition, the athlete gets all the benefits of doping without doping. The retransfusion process is what makes doping doping. With this new technique, which is NOT banned athletes bodies make more red blood cells naturally but a hormone is also produced that can cause them to fail a doping test even though they aren’t doping. They are just using technology to train better. The machine is cheap and easily portable so all but the worlds poorest athletes can afford them. This has left the world’s sports regulators in a quandary. The tests themselves have come under fire for banning athletes who don’t cheat and simply train better.
I hope scary Sha'Cari is done. She is such a bad example. Who shows up to the World Championships looking like a hooked?! 🤢🤢🤢🤮

same with men 4 x 100 they won a medal but only 1 runner was found a dope so they were taken medals away.. i felt sorry for other 3 runners who worked hard everyday
If it's on the rule that you cannot do this and that then you have to obey them.
And the yung girl should not give up work hard dont do drugs win gold next year think positive be positive win win win...

I have long debated with whoever would listen that the 'superlymics' should be a thing! If a person is willing to take enough steroids to comatose a horse and then do a long jump, we should at least benefit from being able to watch it on TV.

I know this is irrelevant to Shari they allowed Sun Yang of China to compete at the World Swimming Championships in 2019 when he got his security team to smash a vial of his blood that he was supposed to give to testers and made up a story that those testers didn't have the credentials. I am glad that he is banned from the Tokyo Olympics because his ego is the size of Jupiter and he is an arrogant prick to other athletes. Sun Yang is a drug cheat pure and simple. Its called double standards. And seriously what's with all the corruption from the World Anti Doping Agency.
The fact that some people where defending Sha'Carri just shows where the world is going.
