Makes sense. You don't need to square the left side because the terms are identical.
Не понимаю, почему все так сложно? Устно х=0, х=4, 1 минута! х-2×^х=0 ^х(^х-2)=0 ^х=0 или ^х=2 х=4 Ответ: 0; 4. Примечание. Нет значка корень квадратный, поэтому заменила его "^". Советское образование ЛУЧШЕЕ!

Не было сказано про то, что корень должен равняться числу ≥0, а значит x/2 ≥0, и только после этого возводить в квадрат, а так ноль баллов нахуй

Это и незачем было говорить. После возведения в квадрат корни НЕ теряются, наоборот, могут появляться лишние. Поэтому после решения уравнения и проводят проверку.

√x+√x=x √x(1+1)=x √x(2)=x √x=x/2 And then we just substitute 4, because this is optimal.
