I love how the entire poem she referred to them as boys, at the end when the guy is actually doing the mature and right thing, she refers to him as a man

It is actually a reflection of herself having matured enough to not get fazed about these things. She is mature now, and has now become unfazed to the point that she does not refer to the man as a boy because she is fazed by what he has done.

"The man tells me who he is, and I listen. I have so much beautiful time." Words to live by.

I love the brutality in this poem and the way it mirrors how small we will make ourselves so men can fill the room. They are both exaggerated and it reminds me that there are others options than being "a good little girl".

actually, she was talking about the boy(s) who toyed with her and tried to shape her in their image. if you got to the end she said she had a great time with the man who told her who he was (instead of try to push his standard of beauty onto her).

It wasn't about him preferring blondes, it's about the fact that he keeps trying to change her and in the alternate universe, she refuses to change for him. Not liking period Sex is fine, but don't make a woman feel disgusted by something her body does that she cannot control.
