I think one of the main reasons everyone loves her, is because there's absolutely nothing phoney about her at all. The instinct for anyone on telly, especially performers, is to try hard to come across as really smart or funny or glamorous. She's all of those things, but is always so disarmingly genuine and un-showbiz. Seeing somebody have an awkward but honest conversation is way more appealing.

Daniel C I agree but I also feel for all those other actors/performers who give maybe less-natural interviews. It must be a LOT of pressure to be giving an interview, and I feel pretty much anyone would have trouble being 100% authentic in that setting.

@@8lizzieb6 Anyone who has seen Adam Driver on talk shows notices the same thing about him. Completely genuine and unassuming. Love actors with that quality of "I'm here, I'm me,no big deal."

I agree. She comes across as a normal and ordinary person (someone who you'd meet on the street) and doesn't try to convince other people that they are "normal", unlike Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet.

Only Olivia Coleman can talk about pissing herself and have it be the most charming and delightful little story.
Watch her in 'Tyranosaur' ....Next level acting.
just so giggly and precious and talented in every way 🥺 I love Olivia
Well done on your Oscar Olivia
Finest of the finest British actress of 2019 ! Wonderful Olivia Colman.
What a sweet ,kind, adorable, talented woman! ❤️
She does impersonations so effortlessly on the fly!
I love the way she said "thank you very much" at the start
She is so adorably cute.
She is just amazing! Love her smile! 🇮🇪
And now she’s got 1 win and 3 Oscar nominations. Thank god her talent is getting recognized!
One of the best shows ever was broadchurch ❤️❤️❤️
I adore the different characters she so convincingly plays. Extremes. Unselfconscious. I expect the same when I watch De Niro or Malkovich. It's not their good looks that captures us. It's the level of skill and talent.
Blimey, she won an Oscar
She’s so gorgeous here!!!!
She’s my new favourite.

I think it might almost be the opposite in a way. It's like knowing she's so famous makes her more self conscious?

Johnathan Ross. Give it up mate. You are past your Sell by date. Your shows centres around you and not your guests. Have a look at Graham Norton or Michael Parkinson
shes great and would usually root for her (esp over most 'actresses' who I won't name lol but def. didnt deserve to win an Oscar) Just wish she didn't beat Glenn! :/
