No, it's not that, I love a good dark fic. It just didn't click for me. Also (no offence to the author) I found some of the phrases she used....akward? I found it jarred me out of the story too much. I know she's super popular and I love her Al Sahim oneshots but like I said some of the sentences are oddly put together.
