    I honestly think he just speaks for the low and middle class that have to get by paycheck by paycheck. Love his voice and passion.

    Thanks for a very thoughtful & intelligent review & reaction. Thoroughly enjoyed listening. Love the song! Hits you right between the eyes at the start & then heads straight to the gut, for sure. And the fact that it’s so short & not a long winded rant or lecture makes you wanting more.

    During the Arabic Spring there was a pattern. Whenever 40% of average income had to go to just food, the riots began.

    He has an introductory video on his channel that tells you exactly how he feels about politics. He put it out the day before the song was released. He thinks both sides serve the same master and neither are good for the people. He turned down multimillion dollar contract. Said he doesn't want 6 tour busses, 15 tractor trailers and a jet. He's fine in his 27" rv with a tarp on it that he bought from Craigslist for $750. He doesn't want to play big stadiums or be in the spotlight. They were just hoping to get 300k views lmao. He certainly got that. He's playing another little venue in Virginia this weekend. It sold out in 2 minutes. Lol He's the real deal. It's classic American folk music straight out of Appalachia. Poetic. A resonator guitar or dobro. Used traditionally in American folk music. Ain't got a dollar is great. Being happy without all the luxuries. Just enjoying ourselves. We don't need money to be happy.

    @@MarcDanielPatrick well today's country is more pop sound with twang. Traditional country is a blend of this style with a little more Memphis blues mixed in. Think steal guitar honky tonkish. This is more a bluegrass style some country originates here. Whatever it is, I like it. No worries:)

    As a staunch leftist, I could care less what side of the aisle this guy identifies with. All I know is this song speaks to me so deeply, regardless of his or my political leaning, and I think that's the genius of the song.

    Well, Marc, know that I will watch whatever you present and I watched this in its entirety. I will say, not to your surprise, that raspy country voices just don’t appeal to my ear. Yes, I believe he believes in what he is singing and it is obviously heartfelt. I just don’t care for a pinched, strained voice in the upper register. His chords are simple which counter a profound message. Would I choose to listen to or watch him? No, this one video was enough for me. That said, I always appreciate you exposing me to a variety of music. Regardless of his message, the voice is too distracting for me. Hope I am able to remain in your class. Either way, I thank you.

    Wouldn't expect any other response from your end Roberto. You're looking for a much more trained and perfected vocal quality, however I will say, for the lane and genre of music hes in - he is right on track.

    The Taylor Swift shade seems a little uncalled for. No one is forcing people to go to a concert they cant afford. 35 million people wanted tickets, lots didn't get them (myself included). Not sure how the capitalistic monopoly of ticketmaster, the scammy-ness of bots and scalpers, and insane demand is Taylor Swift's fault. What exactly would you say she do about it?

  • @krotchlickmeugh627

    Taylor swift is the one allowing ticket master to sell her tickets for those prices mate. Not like she's selling them for retail and ticket master just somehow buys all of them the second they go on the market. She is the middleman

  • @s-anderson

    @s-anderson

    10 ай бұрын

    You obviously aren't informed as to how the ticket marketplace works. Ticketmaster as a company has exclusive rights deals with all the stadiums she is playing in. Therefore if she wants to play in those venues, she has no choice but to use ticketmaster to sell those tickets. this is what i'm talking about with a monopoly. She is not the one responsible for tickets being bought on ticketmaster for the original price of anywhere from $80 for a normal ticket to $500 (for VIP packages), and being resold on secondary sites for $3000+. The bots and scalpers are the middlemen you speak of, working the system to swipe up tons of seats and reselling them for outrageous prices.@@krotchlickmeugh627

    For such a short song, he dedicates 3 lines to being misinformed and attacking people on welfare. Dude, if you got a point about greedy rich people wanting control over all of us, why the heck did you swerve off onto welfare folks? That right there ruins any point this dude may have been trying to make.
