@@measured.kadenceI think that is actually because it has the same timer from the past games while Pikmin 4 gives you a few extra minutes but I could be wrong.

Im so glad it's finally here, can't wait to watch. I've been feeling crummy with a cold, but this cheered me up.

I have to say, after all this time and laying all the Pikmin games, you now have little to no Dandori issues!

7:15 Not a retcon, just a new timeline separate from the other games. The previous games all generally respect continuity, even if the actual writing quality varies, but this game acts like none of the others happened at all, and is largely incompatible with them. For instance, outside of Olimar's Shipwreck Tale essentially replacing Pikmin 1, because Olimar never escapes the planet, he doesn't bring any treasure to Hocotate Freight, and thus doesn't bring Louie with him to the planet. Louie comes alone due to the President's orders, causing Pikmin 4's main gameplay to essentially replace Pikmin 2 (Hocotate Freight also hasn't gone into debt). We know it takes place before Pikmin 3 because the food crisis hasn't happened yet, but PNF-404 has already been discovered by Koppaites, as opposed to being discovered by probes during their crisis, locking out Pikmin 3. TLDR: Pikmin 4 is a new timeline because the other games _can't_ happen in the same timeline.

Wow, it’s so cool that they made pikmin adventure into its own series

I really hope the next pikmin game focuses on the mamuta a lot more, the fact that it’s friendly and isn’t able to actually kill pikmin is really cool to me

Last I recall, Olimar's Piklopedia entry on Snagret babies points out that the imprinting only happens on things that look like a Snagret, i.e. very long and very blue. Edit: Never mind, you already pointed that out.
