    Olight torches are pretty bloody good. They're on my 'wish list' for sure. Compared to even 20 years ago it's pure wizardry.

    Great review. I love Olight torches. My every day carry is a Baton 3 Pro. I have three others, including one on my scope. Great value.

    Recently bought this as my EDC light. Excellent product. For my use it is basically perfect: Light press on the tail button gives me a bright light. A firm press gives a VERY bright light. The second button goes straight to "moonlight" without going through brighter lights that blind me a dark environment. I use this thing several times every single day. The size is great for EDC in my pack, but also big enough that I could use it for striking in self defense. The magnetic tail is very useful, too. Add a diffuser and get rid of the apparently-proprietary battery, and this is "perfect EDC light" (at least for me).

    That’s awesome mate. I’ll have to have a look at the Arc. I want to make a new case for my Leatherman Surge to hold it and the bit kit and a torch been meaning to do it for a few years now but haven’t got around to it yet. The leather case I currently use, my cousins and I made about 14 years ago for a cheap kincrone multi tool I had years ago. The holster has outlasted that tool and the genuine leather case for my Leatherman and is still going good even though it’s not the prettiest case😂 all I’ve had to do is replace the clip.

    Hey Josh. Another great torch. Well worth buying, but I've got a now slightly older model Warrior M2R Pro. It's still going great & will last me a good while yet. Being an Olight they seem to last forever. Then I'll upgrade to to whatever is then out like this. Handy new features though. The problem of grit of any kind being attracted to the tail switch magnet has forever been an issue with Olight torches. I just try & clean it out whenever I notice it. Maybe they should experiment with a touch sensitive tail switch with no movement where shit can get stuck in the magnet. Or maybe do away with the tail switch & have it charge only. I like the tail switch though, and if they make them any more indestructible, then (like me) there's not as much incentive to upgrade unless some of the killer new features are a must have. Hell I've even got another even older Olight EDC torch that is still going fine. I keep them both in separate places. Haha.

    The M2R Pro is a great little torch. I used to have one but gave it away and upgraded to the warrior 3 which was slightly brighter. And Henry bought himself the warrior 3S which has the sensor in it to dim it down so he can’t burn anything with it. But yes they do last a long time. And if not their 5 year warranty is great. In regards to stuff sticking to the tail switch, I just clean it with a bit of bluetac. It works a treat👌

    My everyday carry torch is the Olight i3TEOS. It uses AA a battery, has the double-sided clip and sits in my pocket. I recently had to put a new battery in it after about one year. This Warrior Mini 3 is bigger and has more features but I will stick to the one I have.

    Cool. I prefer rechargeable torches. I won an i3T in titanium once but gave it away to a friend. I have an i5R and quite like that it. But I like the bit bigger size of the warrior mini 3 and that it has the bigger 18650 batteries and magnetic tail switch. But every torch has their different uses and I now have more Olights than I have uses 😂😂

  • @intothenight1993

    @intothenight1993

    No I doesn’t but I’ve never had to replace one anyway. Because you don’t really have to ever pull the battery out so you’re not damaging the o-ring by unscrewing the head all the time.

  • @HP-in8pl

    I really wanted to get one until i learned that a standard 18650 battery won't fit in this if you need to change the battery. Why would Olight require a custom proprietary 18650 battery?! That's not 18650 at all then. And their replacement batteries are expensive!

  • @intothenight1993

    @intothenight1993

    They use their batteries so you can charge them with the magnetic charger. But to be honest I have never need to change a battery in any Olight torch I have. You get a long time out of them. And unless you are using it continuously for days and have absolutely no way of charging it then it may be an issue but if I see mine has dropped down to even orange or I’ve had a fair bit of use, I’ll just put it on the charger before I go to bed and take it off when I wake up and it’s ready to go again. If you do want to have a second battery they are only $24.95 but would be cheaper if you get them on a site wide sale. Or use my code ITN10 will get you 10% off. But if you buy good quality 18650 batteries they are often up around the $15-20 mark anyway. So I don’t think they are too badly priced.

    I just got this light today and I already want to send it back. I absolutely HATE it. I own 15 Olight flashlights, but out of all of them this is my LEAST favourite. Why? The hotspot is too tight for being an EDC. It is not good for close up illumination, and the hotspot is too small for walking outside (it's like following a small dot on the ground). It's only good for illuminating at a distance. The beam has some very weird artfacts such as halos and it's not as smooth as I thought it would be. The only thing I liked is the size and the flashlight body. It's PERFECT in every way. The lenght, the diameter, the tailswitch, the side button, the pocket clip and just the overall feel in your hand is 10/10. The beam and the optics 2/10. If the beamshape was just like the one on the Seeker 4 Mini and the LED was 4000-5000K then this would definitely be my EDC flashlight. But as for now I'm probably giving away this light to my dad as a fathersday gift. He's not as picky as I am and would probably like it 😅

    Haha well if you want more of a spread beam light then the baton series are the go. But for me and what I do, I like to have one that can do both but especially distance if I need it. So I still think it’s the best Olight I own. It’s a matter of personal preference and uses. 👍

    I had a very bad experience with this lamp and would advise against purchasing it. The sensor rarely works and dims even under the best conditions. The service couldn't find the problem and that's why I now have an expensive but useless lamp.

    Have you reset the sensor? I did have the problem after I did the review and contacted them about it and this is what they told me to do. (Also make sure the lens icon clean and free of dust). Step 1. Turn off the flashlight and get it fully charged, keep connecting with the MCC charger, and make sure there is no obstruction within 2 meters of the flashlight light source (It is recommended that the flashlight outlet is facing the ceiling); Step 2. Press and hold the side button for 5 seconds until it accesses the Moonlight mode→Turn off→ Moonlight mode activates again. When the Moonlight mode has activated again, which means it accesses the fix mode, then you can release the button and triple click (or more) within 5 seconds to reconfirm the fix mode. (Please note that if you do not make any operation or incorrect operation after releasing the side button, the flashlight will exit fix mode automatically. ) The flashlight will be activated to High Mode and the brightness level will rise automatically for 15 seconds and then it turns off auto. That's the sign of fixing it successfully ( Please do not move the flashlight during the fix process. ) If that doesn’t work contact Olight and they will probably replace it for you. They have a 5 year warranty so use it if something isn’t working right.

    nope Nope. Great light? Maybe. But too flawed and unreliable. If you are lookiking for your cat hiding under the bed from a raccoon maybe. My experience with this light has been quite different. When it works it is alright. I have spent more time dealing with Nolight cusomer service than actually using the light. Customer service is awesome by the way but I need a reliable light. This is not it.

    @@intothenight1993 Well, I'm upgrading my opinion on this light. At first it worked great. After a few uses it would not enter turbo or even high mode. Was extremely frustrated. I had to do a bit of research and learned there is a fix mode that basically resets the light. Worked a charm. Now all is good and instead of looking for the cat I'll scare the coons off. Customer service was incredibly good. 10 stars. Even sent me a replacement charger hoping it was the solution. Cool little light now.

    Yes I had the same trouble after I had already done my review of it and contacted Olight and they told me straight up how to reset the sensor. Now it’s fine again. Sometimes if there is too much dust on the lens it will dim straight away too but just wipe it clean and it works fine again. But it’s still my favourite edc torch. 👌
