this has happened to me. they asked for 100 and i got it down to 30 but after that they just demand more so i managed to stall them and get their “boss”es email. i blocked them now im trying to track them. AND ALSO HOPING THEY DONT SEND IT OUT LOLLL. if this happens act like u dont care at all they dont have a personal grudge against u they just want money, they will move on to the next if they see u arent vulnerable. And stop blaming people this isnt the kids nor the parents fault. Rest up braden !

Any time some random person online demands pictures and/or money from you, that’s a pretty obvious red flag. It’s a scam and you shouldn’t even respond to them if you don’t know them already…Plus you shouldn’t be sending any pictures or video of yourself to anyone online if you don’t want it to be shown to other people. I was catfished before but it became obvious really quickly when their actions weren’t consistent or logical. It’s illogical for someone to demand money from you and threaten your privacy. No normal person would do that. Only a criminal would 😅

This happened to me today. I’m chillin honestly I didn’t send money blocked the account. As far as I know nothing got out. I told a few of my closest friends to block the account. I pretty much deactivated mine

Let your kids feel comfortable telling parents. This happened to my son, luckily he told me what happened immediately. I lost it on the person who acted like a girl and threatened the shit out of them then I called the FBI. I told that idiot that I contacted the FBI and sent them the number to the FBI so they knew I wasn’t f****ing around! Chances are they just want money and not to mess with the people that go crazy on them!!!

Crazy to think some people fall hard for online scams. If someone who you don't even know is threatening you online, and saying you gotta fork over money to avoid it. It's a bluff. Just ignore it. They can't do anything.

Teenagers are very impressionable people whose minds are not fully developed yet such that they are capable of seeing beyond their reputation. Embarrassment is a bigger thing for them than it is for adults. It’s easy to say you can put yourself in those shoes and go, “I would never let that happen to me”, but scammers use social engineering techniques to manipulate their victims . You don’t have to understand why he took his own life all because of a naked picture, but the fragile psyche of a teenager can easily be affected by that.

I partly blame the parents for raising such a weak child. Anybody that would take their life over something like this, obviously has some type of underlying mental disorder. When I heard about the story on the news, I couldn't believe how pathetic it actually sounded. Society these days is incredibly weak-minded.
