I have been doing 1-2 installs per month for the last couple years, and even with all that, I still love setting it up and watching it, filming it. If you have never seen it in person, the videos dont really do it justice.

lol, yea they are pretty cool, but man they are kind of a novelty to be honest.. Sheet cutting is way more profitable so most of the guys that get combo machines eventually stop usign them because the sheet cutting is in high demand and alot more profitable

Hi Ramsey I have raycus 1000w in cnc fiberlaser I have questions nitrogen gas can cut mild steel and carbon steel or no just need oxygen to cutting mild steel and carbon steel... I know nitrogen is expensive than oxygen but just I'm asking you this question if it can cut mild steel and carbon steel or just using nitrogen for stainless steel and aluminum and copper Also my other question for purity of oxygen if purity of oxygen just 93% and 7% other gas can cutting mild steel and carbon steel or no

Damn - I have no use for a monster CNC laser, it’d take up most of my basement, it’d probably cost a few $K just to hire a rigger to wrangle it through the yard and down there for me, and no way I’d ever convince the wife, but … I want one! 😆 (And wow, those tiny, fine gratings were pretty mind-blowing, I had no idea a machine of this size and lower could do such fine work!)

Lovely detailed video. Liked the 1/4 inch pierce with oxygen. Never tried this pierce style. Would you share the settings? I too have a 3000W

thanks for watching! cant share the pierce settings, that, and a few other things are special things I do for customers that purchase from me, and if i share it with everyone, it devalues the service i offer. but just a tip... its not hard at all to setup .

I feel like I learn something new everytime I watch one of your videos. Gonna have to try the pre piercing and that technique to break up a long slot. I've been using micro joints but that would work better in my opinion.

slug destruct and microjoints are helpful. slug destruct if over used will have a significant impact on your cycle times, and drive up your N2 bill lol. But its handy to be able to use all the features when you need them

In the video it showed Fusion360, which is 3D parametric modeling softrware, not simple or easy. For basic 2D drawing I really like Vectric Cut2D.

When I served my apprenticeship in the 1960,s + or - 1/16 of an inch on a fabrication was good.

Well thats still a good tollerance depending on whats being fabricated. If yoru fabricating skyscrapers, 1/16th is awesome. if yoru making small aerospace parts, its got to be .001" or less.

Yep, you are very wise to be such a young man! In fairness the last one was brand new and after researching it there is a bug and a new software update for it. Guess what the bug is? Drone flys away on its own! That’s what happened. First one I was flying to low over the Colorado river and let it go swimming 😂

That "stuff stickin to it" is called dross. Slag is from welding Dross is from cutting.

Not exactly. What I was referring to is the displaced metal dust, that is loose but sticks to it like a magnet. Dross is a plasma table term, you won’t hear that used in the laser world. It’s either burr free, or has a burr. I never mentioned slag
