Mike R, that transome will leave a mark.

I'm the same. I use a beer crate on middle seat for gear and to hold my shotgun when pushpolling for ducks. I now use a 5 gal bucket instead of a construction block for ballast.

I don’t go to the trouble of winching I just pull it on the trailer by hand. You can pick up the boat and trailer and shift it into line at a tight twisty launch. Marathon said don’t tow it with a motor on the transom. Now we’re using an electric Torqeedo 3 hp.

Just bought a 2nd sport boat last night. Got it from a boyscout camp that bought a fleet of them and had 2 that never once got used since 2009. Came on a really nice lightweight trailer, and had a custom cover that fits the boat plus a 4hp 4stroke outboard. They were asking 1600, I offered 1400 and they said we have a deal. I drove away laughing maniacally for a good 45mins. Brand new boat trailer, and cover for peanuts.
