Hey I have a 2006 chevy tahoe and my rear windshield wiper isn’t working. It just makes a buzzing noise! I looked at the fuses they look good and I looked at the wires in the rear and it looks good too nothing is burnt or off!

It sounds like the wiper motor may have failed. If you use a volt meter to check the voltage at the wiper motor plug, you will know.

What gauge was that black and purple wire i have the same issue just cant figure out which gauge i need for replacement wires?

I would guess 10ga. I grabbed a piece with similar thickness out of a box of leftover wires. I didn't measure the wire. Good luck.

Hello Is the purple wire from the big harness that you cut is also a ground wire ? Please reply thanks

I don't recall. I simply ran jumper wires for the black and purple wires, black to black, purple to purple, and it worked as it should.
