My grandma was born in 1924. She had seen the Second World War, had seen men from our country being forcefully drafted to fight for Britain, been married at the age of 12, had seen the death of her husband and raised her 6 children all by herself. She had seen our country gaining independence from the British Empire, had seen the rapid development in technology, had stepped into the 21st century and seen a global pandemic. She also saw all her children move out of her house in the village one by one in search of jobs and set up their own families in cities. She tended to her guava trees and little mustard crops in front of the house her husband had built. She would make delicious food for her grandchildren and children whenever they would come to visit, a bright smile on her face. She saw the death of her two daughters, and all her friends, and became a great-grandma to her two great-grandchildren. She was the sweetest soul on the planet, whose biggest wish was for all the girls in the family to be properly educated, something which she had never had the chance to experience. She left this world in 2021, and although I didn't get to say a proper goodbye, I will forever love you Grandma, fly high ❤️❤️

By God's grace he is completely healthy. There are many Yogis living in Himalayas, India who are more than 300 yrs old but do not come down and interact with this world. Amazing! I am a retired healthcare worker and over the years I've had quite a few clients who lived past a hundred. Two were in the same facility. Their ages from the oldest were 113, 112, 110, 107, 105, 102, 100. The 113 year old had never been married and had no children, the 112 year old, had outlived two wives and all of his children who were in their 70's and 80's, the 110 year old outlived all of her family , the 107 year old outlived her only son and his wife, the 105 year old was taking care of her 83 year old daughter. Long story short they all said the downside of living that long was that they outlived their loved ones and friends but they all were very kind and easygoing people. I learned a lot from them. My mon had a client back in the 1960's who lived till 122 in a Jewish hospital in New Jersey. Thanks for the video.

She had her first child (My grandpa) at 16yo. The man she married would die in a gun duel, leaving her alone to raise 4 children. The furthest we've gone on the tree are great-great grandkids. We know for a fact that she was born on February 11, 1904 or at least in February 1904 because the GRG and Guinness World Records have somehow managed to recover just the month and year that she was born from the town hall of Ales, France. Any evidence of her birthday is just icing on the cake (no pun intended).

@@JohnnyAngel8 The oldest person ever whose age has been independently verified is Jeanne Calment (1875-1997) of France, who lived to the age of 122 years and 164 days. That means sister André will not BREAK the record until she reaches and surpasses that age.

@@JohnnyAngel8 it's specifically oldest person *alive*. Someone has to pass for someone to become the *new* record holder. It isn't saying they are the oldest person to have lived. That is yet to be broken on GWW, but currently held by as Eärendil says another French woman who lived to 122.

Except you have physical documentation of your date of birth. She doesn’t. She only has physical documentation of the month and year which is why the GRG and Guinness World Records have decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. But when it comes to her date of birth, who would know better than her?

Maybe so But you can’t be verified by the GRG or Guinness World Records unless you have physical documentation of the month and year that you were born. But in Sister Andre’s case since the GRG and Guinness World Records have somehow managed to recover just the month and year that she was born from the town hall of Ales, France, any evidence of her birthday is just icing on the cake (no pun intended). But whether she says it’s February 11th or February 29th or any day in between, as long as it never changes, we might as well just take her word for it!
