THIS VAN:
About this van:
Ady and Teresa are a slightly older couple than a lot of the people we have on the channel, but though they're heading into their 60s, they couldn't be more full of life. Adi built this self-build campervan himself, on his driveway, with no access to a workshop and with only the basic tools! The result is just incredible; a truly special van conversion and one I think most people would be over the moon to call their home. It's high security with it's awesome 360 degree CCTV system, but also SUPER high comfort, with its extra large shower, TV, perfect up-front dining area and stunning finishes throughout. Absolute top-notch camper and one we're really proud to feature. Thanks for sharing it with us guys :)

Great idea for the toilet. As someone also in their 60’s and thinking of a van build, I didn’t want to have to navigate around a toilet while showering. My idea (before seeing yours!) was to have the toilet on slides that would slide out of the shower into the van while the shower was being used. Yours is smarter!!

Also what keeps the toilet from bouncing around when it's in the cabinet and is there a particular reason why you chose that toilet? Did it have more to do with the toilet itself or the moving it back and forth from the chamber so to speak it's a chamber pot LOL I'm not going to give up my home but I am going to have all the Creature Comforts of home

Sooo inspiring! I’m in my 50’s & want to buy this van when they sell for a bigger build. Love his wisdom & humor - the common personality traits for vanning. Enjoyed this tour, thank you!!

This is an impressive build from a refreshing 'non-millenial' perspective! Hoping to see more of your van and hear of your Spanish adventures with a 'morning ski' followed by 'orange juice on the beach' .. echoes of FT episode 'Waldorf Salad' ...

So lovely to see a van of this quality that wasn't built in a huge workshop with tools that would need a mortgage to purchase. My admiration to anyone who can do this level of work with a few power tools and a black and decker workmate.

This was very interesting and I loved the tip about checking for rattles as you go along. Also, the lighter plywood, and the bamboo. I have been wondering what to use, as I have been thinking that these wood builds must be heavy.
