Such beautiful conformity, everyone on the same page, happiness abound, families sharing meals together and conversations where everyone is looking at each other with no cell phones. I wanna go back!!!! Thank you for this little treasure of R.I. and its past.

Fun to see the old Shepard clock during the downtown parade....lots of happy memories from the good old days

💖😊💖 Remembering the happy days of the 50's🥰 Born in Newport RI...We did not have alot of money...We did have alot of love for one another.💖😊💖

Michael Seligman An uncle of mine took them and transferred them from film to dvd. They lived in East Providence. That’s where some of the scenes are from .

Let me know if there is a better way to get in touch with you. I'd love to use a clip from this awesome home movies! The film is called "P.S. Burn This Letter Please" -- inspired by a recently unearthed collection of letters written in the 1950s by a group of NYC drag queens.

I have no nostalgia for this Era whatsoever. Horrific racism and segregation via redlining, oppression of women and gay people, mass ignorance.
