Old tools refuse to die. A Makita 4300 Jigsaw in need of some work.
This may look like an old relic, but this model of makita jigsaw is still used today by many carpenters.
Just image now much the owner of this jigsaw would laugh at some yougn lad, if he turned up at his workshop with a full kit of modern cordless tools that cost thousands and last only a few years. And him sitting there using the same makita tools forbthem past 30 years.
It even makes me laugh sometimes when I think how much money I have wasted on cordless tools over the years when a few good corded tools would so the same job and last a lifetime.

I served my time repairing power tools in the early 90s. You working on these tools bring back a lot of memories
Thanks
The magic words of” “you never know” when it comes to keeping all your old bits Excellent job again
Old + Gold!!
She's ready for another 20 years of work now.
I really would have wanted to see the face of the owner when he got his tool back. I just about filled the swear jar watching Dean pull out matching part after new-old-stock matching part.
That's why all the tool hire shops used to have them 👍👋☘️
Lovely video.I just thought you would replace the blade shaft too so that new blades can be fitted.I also have this model jigsaw and find it difficult to obtain Makita shank blades in India.
Beautiful Dean I've still got lots of this era Makita superb quality.
Where on earth do you get your parts from, you seem to have massive stock’s for everything
Relíquia 😍
