Self protection, nothing more.

I've got one , and I'm going to take the handle and guard off and use it for a pattern, to trace on 1075 or 1095 steel, add a nice micarta handle , and a good heavy leather sheath, now that's a knife. Love the shape and size.

What a shame it's a nice looking Bowie. Too bad they don't make knives like they used to. Thanks you saved me a few bucks. 🗡️👍🔪

Hey there Jim Bowie. You ain't going to be fighting at the Alamo with it. use it for a wall hanger. And far as a fighting blade I wouldn't hesitate using it. Yes it's lite but it one sharp edge. I wouldn't want to get stuck by it.

Yeah I have the other version of that that was given to me as a Christmas present but me being a Bowie Knife Guy if I see one of those I'll definitely try to pick one up sadly those only come around around Christmas time I love the design just suck is not well made

Bowie’s that size are mean taking off hands, limbs and killing. Now we use it for chopping wood and de-limbing. Sad.

I've had this one for a couple months and the sheath is completely trash. The knife cut through the tip after a couple uses and the snap on it was installed twisted/ backwards. But the knife is okay for beating on at work so I made a sheet steel scabbard for it. I had seen that a lot of the bowies from the 1800s had silver, copper, brass and tin sheaths and wanted to try and make one. Now it makes a cool sword sound when drawn 😂

It’s definitely a decent beater knife

Dont waste your money!!! Buy a cold Steel Trail Master, Or Coffin Handel Bowie in Carbon V if you can find one. They make tools out of Carbon V. It will thake an edge and hold it very well. It will never brake in a fight or choping anything. I beat mine threw all kinds of fire wood with a big heavy stick. The blade will stain up but who cares you can bet your life on it. Stay away from Cold Steeles Natches Bowie. The handel will fail. Then make good handel for it makes it a much better knife. Sorry, Lynn. But its my opinion.

I have one of these, and it gets a lot of use. I did replace the scales with walnuts, and it feels and looks like a real bowie. It's mostly used for cutting through briar and vine thickets. When punks see it, they run like hell! Lol

Never prepaired, pulls a ruler out of his pocket I buy blades i use and for some reason i buy blades i dont use, this one looks like i wouldn't use it but i have been looking at it and.....i hate knives

I have one just because it is a bowie. Is it an actual user knife but rather a light use knife. It does get sharp and you can polish it up for display. That is all it is good for.

It would have been significantly better if they didn’t bother putting finger grooves on it. There’s no way they fit any hand unless you are gigantic.

Only Downfall Of This Knife Is The Steel Is Cheap Chinese 7CR Something Or Other !! If This Was Either 1095 Or Aus 10 Or 3V,,,,,,Then It Be Amazing !! Oh Well,, Can't Have It All I Guess.
