Nice review . I bought a " Winchester " branded knife like that about 13-14 yrs ago at Bass Pro during Christmas . I think it was like $19.95 . Always figured that with this in hand , and if a fool had nothing or a smaller knife . This thing would scare away a "smart " man :D I would not like to have that one or mine . Plunged into my body ! Hope you all find solace . BTDT . Be safe out there folks ... Gubs

my one problem with the budget bowie knives is the hollow grind on the blade it makes it more prone to chipping and cracking when chopping with it on seasoned wood.

Great to see ya back! I was starting to worry about ya. It takes time, I know. Damn rough.... I like those big Bowie knives, but they don't have much practical use. When Folks were running around the mountains with single shot, flintlock rifles, and Indians all wanted you dead, I would have had one for sure! Ya don't need to reload a knife! I use one on my trapline. It is useful there. It makes a great Machete and they are long enough I can pry up a frozen trap and if it springs, it won't get ya. If I ever get caught up, might have to fix ya up with a leather sheath.....I still owe you those suspenders.....and HOT SAUCE! HA! Good to see you.

Well sir. I personally don't care for all the chinee stuff either, but we don't have much of a choice for a lot of things anymore. We only have ourselves to blame for that. I would imagine the new knife will be just fine for a chinee, just like the welding machine over your shoulder. It'd be at least 2-3 generations to get back to having American goods available like they were when I was a kid, if ever. Sad that the young people won't know the pleasure of having American made clothing and cutlery and such Thanks for the video

In today’s world, many of the classic knives made in the United States are now just priced out of the common man’s price range. So many if the classic brands have sold out and there affordable knives are now made somewhere overseas. I must admit, the Buck knives made in China are of pretty good quality and are at a decent price point. America has lost so much of its craftsmanship. From making steel to forging knives. Both are being lost in this country. Even farming has faded away from what it use to be. Most Old Timer knives can still hold an edge and perform pretty well when compared to what you pay for them. Leather sheaths for your fixed blades is nice to have and preferred. Use that nylon sheath that came with your Bowie as a pattern for making your own leather one this winter. - Tennessee Smoky

It makes me want to get one. But when I think about it, if I buy it, it only rewards them to keep doing it and for those Chinese companies to keep copying and buying up our companies. We are slowly killing ourselves and putting our necks in a harness for them to lead us around like a mule. So, they don’t have to have a war with us. We just give it to them. I know the alternative is to spend a huge amount more on American made stuff. And with money the way it is, most of us can’t afford it. But I was looking at this video and believe me, this is not a knock against you or anything, I get it. Your trying to show a hillbilly theme and lifestyle to appeal to people, and it appeals to me too. But, in the beginning there’s a ratty pickup and then a tin shack with an open fire inside, and all that imagery is the image of poor folk and living on our wits. But it also is as though we are like people living in Haiti in tin shacks, and the way our country is going, that’s what our future is going to be for all of us. Sad to say. Like I said, it’s certainly not a knock, and I enjoyed this and like how it’s done and appreciate the theme. I just hope we can find a way to get back on top of the Chinese before they have all our asses in a sling. By rights, our culture deserves to be on top in the world, because “freedom” should be the beckoning call for hope and a better way of life. But as our politicians are being bought out by the Chinese and we aren’t retaliating against them for this fucking virus that’s enabled our own government to strip us of our freedoms. We really should look at this visas a biological attack on us. And our government putting the shackles on us, instead of putting the screws to those wet market bat eating, Wuhan lab leaking bastards is beyond me!

Well said But it's Not a Theme Its My Lifestyle and we Do love in a Tin Shack...As Far as the knife it is china junk It was sent to me to review and all I can say it is a lot of knife for 20 bucks but not one I would carry or keep it will be sold out at the swap meet this spring.

@@IdahoHillbilly I appreciate you man! Thanks for responding! What I was meaning by the tin shack thing was along the lines of an equivalent view, from the Lefts and Chinas perspective that Americans live in tin shacks now, like the people in Haiti or those 3rd world places. And I know it’s not “all”, as in the Royal All, I hope that’s clear. Thanks!
