Old Table Manners Instructional Videos

I was working on a video about the Disney Channel Games for this week, but it was taking too long and I had a deadline to meet so I figured this would be a fun video to make in the meantime! I took a look at some old table manners tutorials from the 1950s. One teaches children how to behave at lunchtime and the other is for more general dinner manners.
I thought it would be fun to test the techniques out for myself as well. So enjoy a little taste of The Cramers' Kitchen. Beer soup is my new favorite.
Drew Gooden made a hilarious video about 1950s dating videos last year, so if this is something that you thought was funny you should definitely go check that out too. • Insane How-To Videos f...

My grandma who was born in '39 when talking about her parents always referred to them as Mother and Daddy. I used to think that this was due to her "mother" being her stepmom and pretty abusive (her birth mom died when she was a baby) but after doing some digging I think that was pretty common back in the day regardless of the relationship.

Someone came to our college and hosted an etiquette dinner. It was around $50 for a decent 3-course meal with some of our friends and teachers plus the instruction, so not bad a deal I sat at a table with one of our law professors and he kept quietly making fun of the weird way the host kept phrasing certain things. We all thoroughly enjoyed having that Mr. Bungle at our table

Omg, we had to analyze one of these videos for my Sociology class. It was called ''1950's Family Date, Dinner in a 1950's Home'' and it sENt me. One line was smth like ''the son runs to greet his father as though he is glad to see him'' and I. . . ''as thOuGh?"
If that dinner was real that flying pickle would have killed the person next to you
This was one of the funniest videos I've seen in a while. Also, very strange seeing like, "real" videos from back then. Movies and historical clips show up every now and then, but this is like, what kids back then were watching. Crazy.
Honestly I don't think I have found a single lunch lady that doesn't look hopelessly depressed.

“I can potty whenever I want” -Scott Cramer, 2020
That kid really needed his adult self to come all the way back from the future just to tell him which foods to eat with a spoon.
This was meant to be comedic but so accurate. Thr freshman and sophomores this year came right from an intermediate school to high-school, missing middle school entirely. They were so obnoxious, and the school I went to was so understaffed that they had to put only the freshman in both cafeterias causing the seniors to lose their small cafeteria and forcing them to eat in the auditorium in fabric seats that sophmores and any other asshole would then cover in food. The separation between classes was VERY distinct this year.
