Damn right I do.I went to Belle Vue every month, I was too young to drive so I couldn't get around.I was at the 1975 World Final. Dave Chisholm,Stuart Smith, Doug Cronshaw,Willie Harrison were 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th.I was there when Stuart won a heat in 4 minutes and 1 second, I thought he was going to take off.

10 years earlier, I might have been in the crown, my Dad loved stock cars, but in ‘65 I discovered speedway, couldn’t believe how snappy their meetings ran, compared to stock cars. Still they were great times to have experienced.😊

Bloody hell this takes me back to the great days of stock car racing, thing is I was there, used to go to the meetings with earl boot, number 4, still going now with my children+grandchildren, still got the bug. 👍😁🙆💓

I remember Rodney Falding No 36 in the first part. Willie was my man. Lumbo was into George Ansell 375 (southerner)! Don't forget, Tony Neal 100, Doug Cronshaw 212, Glyndwr Pursey 175, Ellis Ford 3, Jim Esau 244, and many more. Truly Golden Memories. Thank you.

Filmed in 1974 at the old Hyde Road stadium. I think this was 444 Mike Whitaker's debut in his new car. Fond memories of Belle Vue on a Saturday night or Bank holiday Mondays. Mike Whitaker was one of the drivers known to me locally, along with Kevin Bollans 124, John Tute 366 (who's father used to own a coal merchant business, and I worked for in school holidays),and Ivan Braddock 99. More great footage. I dislike these comments complaining about the choice of music but maybe it would be better just have have it silent. Late 60s / early 70s were the glory days of Stox - and a load of other things too numerous to mention.

I used to help preparing Mike Whits car, do you remember as driver 44 when he caught the back wheel of a car at Belle Vue and flew intto the air and came down bumper first with his leg hanging out of the car. Mick had the pics of it, he died a couple of years ago.
