I can't believe how prolific you are!! Your sketchbooks are amazing. You are so talented to begin with, and it is nice to see your thought process on paper. It is inspiring to see you try, and try, to work things out. Sometimes, I hesitate to draw because I feel self-defeated before I begin. You are a good example of just drawing, and the more you do, the more your style emerges. Thank you for sharing. How personal.

Wonderful inspiration! You inspired me to try watercolor again. I used to watercolor a lot, but am not as great at it as you. Seeing your old books make me think I should try it again and stick with it until I get better. :)

It can be so telling what you're going through in your life when you look at your artwork from each time frame, so it was kind of like going through a bit of a journey through your life watching this video! Fran, I love seeing all your sketch books. I used to paint years ago in highschool and was mostly painting "realistic" and solely portraits. I haven't painted in years (it was a lot of pressure that ended up scaring me away) but now I have been thinking about drawing more illustration type things rather than trying for realistic stuff. Anyhow, just thought I'd say I've totally binged on all your recent videos and I feel fully inspired to start this new adventure

I absolutely loved seeing this video! It's so cool to see the behind the scenes of an artist and just how many doodles and drawings we don't actually see. Or don't make the cut for instagram or youtube per se - but are still so cute and pretty! Your art always makes me so happy - even the "sad" sketchbooks - because even if you were sad you were producing some beautiful art!

Ohhh, me trajo cualquier nostalgia este video, porque recuerdo exactamente los momentos en que ví algunas de esas ilustraciones, como por ejemplo en el 2013 yo andaba super penitas porque estaba en 4to medio y no quería dar la psu y mucho menos entrar a la u, entonces escuchaba jamón de pavo pa relajarme y leía tu blog y trataba de motivarme en la vida con viviendosolo. Amo tus ilustraciones!! de repente los ilustradores no cachamos el impacto que tenemos gente que ni conocemos, y creo que a lo mejor te sirve de motivación saber que para mi este video fué la zorri, sigue así Fran!! Un abrazo.

Me encanta tus sketchbooks. Lo que mas me encanta de tus dibujos es la composición or organización en que los dibujas. Cuando uno dibuja varias veces es un poco messy y como yo tengo un poco de OCD con eso me gusta que los dibujos queden "clean." En otras palabras, me gusta mucho tu técnica de dibujo! Abrazos!
