Man, this was a trip down memory lane. I used to go and see my Dad once a year in the Netherlands and he was already playing Warhammer. In the spare room I slept in was a huge cupboard covered by a cloth curtain and behind it were rows of old Codexes and other books and I flicked through all of them. Seeing a Sentinel and a squad of Imperial Guard Cadians in an Imperial Guard Codex got me into Warhammer. I've had posters of many of these over the years because they represented both my enjoyment of the hobby and what got me into it, something that my dad and I did together. Means a lot to me for that and it's great to see some of them represented here. Thanks so much for uploading this, man. What a treat. :)

You have no Idea how Cool this Comment is. I mean...what can I say. Thank you. Glad you have great Memories! I was doubtfull if someone would watch this Video... But It was on my Mind for Years.

Games Workshop back in the day was basically a dream team of artists, writers, scuptors, rule designers all working under one roof and bouncing off each other. It was a hothouse of creativity with very little sense of a corporate house style. Even the art director of the company (John Blanche) was an artist first and foremost. A YT channel called filmdegg does interviews with the old GW staffers talking about their time working there.

John Blanche the Legend! I think an Environment like that is amazing! I know that from my Comic Artist Friends... You can Ping Pong Ideas and share Drawings. I also create Games ...see the Endtimes TCG Channel...but yeah you need sometimes people...that are just on the same level of insanity^^ and MASTERY & Understanding. Yeah I have seen those Vids. I love those TRUE OGS! I would love to see How GW works now. Because it must be a shitshow half of the time. After the Video I checked the Artwork for the new Codexes... and JEEEZZZUUUUZ... they are brainnumbingly Boring.

Yes, the artwork has become worse over the years. It lacks soul. There are some good new artists out there, but I think they do not get the freedom that their predecessors had.

After making this Video I checked the Artwork on the New Codexes... and the Deathwatch Codex I have from 8th Edition. Man... It sucks. Yeah It lacks so much soul. GW shoul see what Warlord Games does. When I read the Bolt Action Rulebook, you stop to just appreciate the AWESOME ARTWORK!
