It is nice to see a fantasy/SciFi wargamer discover historical miniatures! I have Winter Germans and Soviets for the Eastern Front, and also U.S. Marines and Japanese Army for a much warmer climate. I'm not sure I'll every finish painting them, but I saw a video in which Bo Mortinson mentioned "I've trained with Gurkhas" and I realized it would be worth the time and expense to put together a British Army (with Gurkhas, of course) so I could make that same claim ("I trained with a Gurkha unit") when asked about my actual military service - no sense in getting too specific. Something to keep in mind when it comes to shooting and realism. A rifle gets one shot per turn, and a submachine gun gets only two shots per turn. Not realistic when you consider an SMG can fire a lot more shots. However, the idea is not that they are shooting only one or two bullets in a turn, but these numbers reflect their relative chances of getting a hit. Maybe in reality a rifleman fires two or three shots in the time the SMG empties a magazine, but how many hits are they likely to get? In the game, this is reflected by one shot and two shots per turn. Another thing to know is that Warlord Games is not the only source of WW2 miniatures in 28mm. That's another nice thing about historical wargaming - nobody owns the copyright for 17th Century pikes, so you have a choice and the manufacturers have competition. You also have the option of a 3-D printer. Those are awesome paint jobs, by the way. Very impressive. I wish I could do something half as good, but I didn't have a background in painting miniatures. My excuse is that the uniforms have seen a lot of wear and tear, multiple washings and faded from the sun exposure. "It's not easy making them look this bad, preventing them from looking like nice new uniforms."

Yeah I was always a big Fan on History, Movies and STories. And WW2 always fascinated me. I wanted to get myself a Bolt Action Army, the First Time I saw it... love at first Sight!^^ Check out my Video on how I build my British ARmy. Seem you also got your Armies for every Occasion! Interesting...that hitting thing! What other WW2 Minis can you recommend? I love the Perry Minis and I also got some 3D Printed Trucks and Vehicles. Everybody paints as good as she or he can. That is the Job. And thats FINE!

Brother! I am building Voidsmen at Arm (out of Bretonian Men at Arms, Catachan Junglefighters, and whatever lies around). I build my Leviathan Terminators, and one of them I will be build as a Chaplain!

So if you're able to, try out Proteus kill-team with 4 vets with hammers, 1 with shield and sword, 4 terminators with any kind of load out you prefer and bike. Have a chaplain lead, and if you're able to keep the hammers long enough. You'll be hitting angrons out of the park.

Man the Chaplain in Terminator Armor could lead the team, make it T5 +1 to wounds, add an Apothecary and there is my Deathstar. With the Beacon Angelis I could even give them Deep Strike. 4 Hammers yes!

Kill Team Cassius is pretty awesome and it has started to see competitive play sometimes. The only problem is deciding when to rapid ingress, regular deep strike, or just start on the board. It is so flexible!

I know... I am experiencing that myself. I uploaded a vid a few Miniutes ago... which shows how strong Kill Team Cassius can be. It never failed ME in the past 3 Games... but I failed Kill team Cassius twice. But that is the Learning Curve!

I played on Saturday... And I will Cover it today. I had a blast playing 1250p with Kill Team Cassius, Kill Team Proteus and a Veteran Squad lead by a Judiciar. At our Local Gamestore we are Learning to Play 40k 10th Edition and painting our Armies up!

I love the Armypainter line. At the beginning it was a bit crazy. It was so thick. But I like it more than the lose Vellejo. And I do like the Citadell Pigments...the Shape and Size of the Pods...but They end up MESSY AND DRY!

Transfer the paint to dropper bottles, i did it and no regrets, you can peel the sticker off the pod and stick it in the bottle. They are pretty cheap on asian markets, the only downside is time, but they will be alive for years so it kind of balances it

Hey. Just to say I don't play Bolt Action, or any wargames, but I am into Kill Team skirmish. I bought some fine brushes & bits from Warlords and they spent me a single BA sprue as a bonus. They were so good I bought a dozen of them and am in the process of kitbashing two guard teams (a Germanic Krieg one, a Colonial Maries type Kasarkin one) and the bits are lovely. The bodies, the bits. The heads - my god the heads make me laugh - so many great variations. From what I've seen the game looks good but I can confirm the infantry sprues are incrediballs for the price. (Also have some Project-Z sprues from them too, again very nice and so many bits & funny bits).

Addendum : the fact you can buy individual sprues without having to buy a box, rules, etc., means you can get some great value. I forgot I also got some Greek & Roman sprues as I wanted to have some statues in my Heroquest game. Haven't put them together but they will look glorious, some in "stone", some in precious metals (D&D's classic "bronze, gold, platinum"). I guess bashing some statue/golem rules would be cool.

@@dariostabletopminatures Aye, Warlord Games zombie game. Haven't played the game, the models are good though. Male and Female survivors have some nice comedy parts (golf-club weapon, hand-bags, etc.), there's a biker gang with some real Mad Max bodies on them (and motorbikes), and a Spec Ops sprue with torors and legs separate that make up a modern military / paramilitary crew. (I'll be using the Spec Ops as a base for my Adeptus Arbites with Judge Dredd heads). EDIT: an arm holding a "HOLY BIBE" is how I made my Veteran Zealot. The official model has him reading from a book (as they are a zealot/fanatic).

@@dariostabletopminatures forgot to say, I got two sprues of Zombie Vixens. ELEVEN bodies on each. Sexy zombies. One of the arms even has a pool float on it. Anyway, they'll be for my kitbashed Lady Cultist Team. I lucked out, Warlord had a bunch of sprues half price so I got all the half-price ones. So I was getting them for around £5 each instead of £10. But even £10 is value.

I’m not too hung up on mixing troop kits but I like to keep the size similar and most of my collection are warlord. So, yeah warlord is getting expensive. But, point taken, they aren’t GW prices.

Which One did you pick up. That one with the double Bren Carriers. The Desert Rats are awesome. I guess a Primer with Army Painter Wraithbone, or something like GW'S Zandri Dust paints already 85% of your Army. I will showcase my Desert Rats soon! Have fun building, painting and fielding them!

MAybe...I looks a bit rough. But the Idea is, that this was a LAndraider, but went through hell like Fury. I make a Video in an Hour and Upload it. Now it looks really good. Check the Community Page for Pictures on the State of the Tank. I will do also a Video on how I constructed it, step by step.

before painting you can trim some of the hot glue with a hobby knife but other than that its great, save money how you can to have fun playing. Also you english is great.

Very nice! Back in the day I got some base adapters to make the square bases into rounds so I could use my Bretonnians in AoS! That way I could have an army I could use in multiple games but I never got around to it. However now with the Old World back I'll be glad to see them back in action!

When I started Building the Highelves and Bretonians I wanted to scratch That Fantasy Itch... I couldn't because I was to Young and didn't have the Money. Nobody played Fantasy in my Local Gamestore /Playgroup. And I was always lamenting how Lame AOS was and that Fantasy was so much more Beautifull and Flavourfull. So one person pointed out in the AOS 1 APP... all the Armies are Playable. You build it and they will come (and play). So I did. And shortly after the "OLD WORLD was anounced...somewhere around 2019 or 2020.

Dear Lord. Yesterday I played my first Game with my Bretonnian Army at my reopened local Game Store! 1000p of Bretonians vs 1000p of Lumineth NEW ELVES. I was ridiculed and pitied by some players, and the wanted to see my King Death. I had brought along 400p of King, 100p Damsel, 200p of Knights Errants, of course, eager to imprass tha lady...(which they did!) and 220p of knight of the realm with a noble standart bearer hero for 80p. Turn one I charged the ALL the Lines of the Elves, with some clever positioning and lucky dices! The Crowd stood in awe as the king ate up 250 points of enemy bowman....and I didnt know the enemy elves could activate eacht battle TWO units and fight first. They spears could dish out mortal wounds on 6...But Bretonnia did not shy away from manly decisions....It was a long and hard battle. And the new Age of sigmar Elves won, by points, by avoiding the manly king. Even though, the battle was not won by points, morale was restored in the heart of men watching the game.

Hey. Just to say I don't play Bolt Action, or any wargames, but I am into Kill Team skirmish. I bought some fine brushes & bits from Warlords and they spent me a single BA sprue as a bonus. They were so good I bought a dozen of them and am in the process of kitbashing two guard teams (a Germanic Krieg one, a Colonial Maries type Kasarkin one) and the bits are lovely. The bodies, the bits. The heads - my god the heads make me laugh - so many great variations. From what I've seen the game looks good but I can confirm the infantry sprues are incrediballs for the price. (Also have some Project-Z sprues from them too, again very nice and so many bits & funny bits).
Addendum : the fact you can buy individual sprues without having to buy a box, rules, etc., means you can get some great value. I forgot I also got some Greek & Roman sprues as I wanted to have some statues in my Heroquest game. Haven't put them together but they will look glorious, some in "stone", some in precious metals (D&D's classic "bronze, gold, platinum"). I guess bashing some statue/golem rules would be cool.
I love kill Team too. I cam Imagine These minis fit perfectly for 40k Guard, because they stand on 25mm bases. Crazy good yes! What is Projekt Z? A Zombie Tabletop? Wanted to get onto a Walking Dead Style Zombie Game for a while.
@@dariostabletopminatures Aye, Warlord Games zombie game. Haven't played the game, the models are good though. Male and Female survivors have some nice comedy parts (golf-club weapon, hand-bags, etc.), there's a biker gang with some real Mad Max bodies on them (and motorbikes), and a Spec Ops sprue with torors and legs separate that make up a modern military / paramilitary crew. (I'll be using the Spec Ops as a base for my Adeptus Arbites with Judge Dredd heads). EDIT: an arm holding a "HOLY BIBE" is how I made my Veteran Zealot. The official model has him reading from a book (as they are a zealot/fanatic).

@@dariostabletopminatures forgot to say, I got two sprues of Zombie Vixens. ELEVEN bodies on each. Sexy zombies. One of the arms even has a pool float on it. Anyway, they'll be for my kitbashed Lady Cultist Team. I lucked out, Warlord had a bunch of sprues half price so I got all the half-price ones. So I was getting them for around £5 each instead of £10. But even £10 is value.

@@dariostabletopbastelecke4846 Yes, $59 USD for a box of US Army. And I love Perry but they’re much smaller than warlord. I’m not too hung up on mixing troop kits but I like to keep the size similar and most of my collection are warlord. So, yeah warlord is getting expensive. But, point taken, they aren’t GW prices.
I'll double check the rule, but I believe the mortar does D3 pins, not 1 for hitting plus D3. But everything else sounded good.

Which One did you pick up. That one with the double Bren Carriers. The Desert Rats are awesome. I guess a Primer with Army Painter Wraithbone, or something like GW'S Zandri Dust paints already 85% of your Army. I will showcase my Desert Rats soon! Have fun building, painting and fielding them!

MAybe...I looks a bit rough. But the Idea is, that this was a LAndraider, but went through hell like Fury. I make a Video in an Hour and Upload it. Now it looks really good. Check the Community Page for Pictures on the State of the Tank. I will do also a Video on how I constructed it, step by step.
before painting you can trim some of the hot glue with a hobby knife but other than that its great, save money how you can to have fun playing. Also you english is great.
I will show you in a couple of hours how it looks. The hot glue mess looks now amazing. Well saving money and I didn't like the landraider Modell (enough) to justify spending that money.

Very nice! Back in the day I got some base adapters to make the square bases into rounds so I could use my Bretonnians in AoS! That way I could have an army I could use in multiple games but I never got around to it. However now with the Old World back I'll be glad to see them back in action!
When I started Building the Highelves and Bretonians I wanted to scratch That Fantasy Itch... I couldn't because I was to Young and didn't have the Money. Nobody played Fantasy in my Local Gamestore /Playgroup. And I was always lamenting how Lame AOS was and that Fantasy was so much more Beautifull and Flavourfull. So one person pointed out in the AOS 1 APP... all the Armies are Playable. You build it and they will come (and play). So I did. And shortly after the "OLD WORLD was anounced...somewhere around 2019 or 2020.

Dear Lord. Yesterday I played my first Game with my Bretonnian Army at my reopened local Game Store! 1000p of Bretonians vs 1000p of Lumineth NEW ELVES. I was ridiculed and pitied by some players, and the wanted to see my King Death. I had brought along 400p of King, 100p Damsel, 200p of Knights Errants, of course, eager to imprass tha lady...(which they did!) and 220p of knight of the realm with a noble standart bearer hero for 80p. Turn one I charged the ALL the Lines of the Elves, with some clever positioning and lucky dices! The Crowd stood in awe as the king ate up 250 points of enemy bowman....and I didnt know the enemy elves could activate eacht battle TWO units and fight first. They spears could dish out mortal wounds on 6...But Bretonnia did not shy away from manly decisions....It was a long and hard battle. And the new Age of sigmar Elves won, by points, by avoiding the manly king. Even though, the battle was not won by points, morale was restored in the heart of men watching the game.
I want a showcase of this army :o
