Edison motors is going to be putting these in their electric trucks. I like the wig wag.

It's better than the buzzers they put in the trucks now

funny how this was mentioned right after i watched one of there videos. yeah, if it wasnt for them then this would have confused me. though i agree with everyone in the comments both on this video and edison motors' video. seems a whole hell of a lot more pleasant than a buzzer

@@thegreygoose7833 probably why it was recommended cause that's how I got here after having watched them. It's literally just saving a few bucks per truck but I guess most companies care more Abt it than having a good product

I literally just watched that video haha
Better than a damn buzzer
People often ignore buzzers and chimes because they're just something that's seen as annoying. Even if it's something like a seat belt warning chime that only requires you to put the belt on to stop it. This actually gets right into your line of sight and moves around, making it impossible to ignore once it comes down
Awesome video, it’s 2022 and we still have wig wag questions on the CDL permit test in PA, I had no idea what it was lol

same, one of them novelties the up and coming generation of truckers such as ourselves won't know about. i learnt about it via my states manual... had to look it up.

@@thewormarchives7876I need to look up myself too ( I am also getting my CDL)
🤯 ding ding ding ding ding!! That was awesome, thanks for making this, it beats the written descriptions in CDL study guides by a mile.
Thanks working on getting my CDL and I love knowing what is what!!!so cool to see one in action
Show the kids the foot switch light dimmer, their heads will explode! 🤣 mine think I’m some kind of wizard for being able to drive a manual
I remember those! It needs to be restored.
Still are in the school busses my children ride everyday. We're still old out here in the boonies
New truck company Edison Motors is putting these on the trucks they are building and designing
Im 26 and i recognized this from my grandfather's old Semi truck. You literally unlocked a great memory from my childhood. Thank you 🙏
When I was a kid the school buses I rode on had these. Mind you this was in the early 2000s
Heard about these in school 👌🏼
I like the wig wags
Before this the first thing I thought of was police cruiser headlights.
Imagine your just barreling downhill and then the wig wag starts going. You’ll need some new Jeans after that one.
Nice trip down memory lane, thanks 👍🏻
I really REALLY miss factory wig wags! I blew a air line once, and just was in left lane large car mode! Couldn’t hear anything over the 8” stacks running a 3408 in a 359 Pete. No ac so had the windows down rolling. Ever forget to look at your gauges? Happened to me… All of a sudden the buttons popped! I quickly mashed em back in, threw the truck in Georgia overdrive and tached her out at 2k and proceeded to coast 9 miles. Eventually I got her stopped, but broke a few cows legs in the process. Felt like a rookie after nearly 13 years!
Walter "What's wong with ya Willy?" Willy "Well my wig wag won't work Walter."
I first learned of these when I got my CDL study book in Mississippi back 10 years ago, (passed written test first try and got permit, but couldn’t go further because I had no access to an actual rig to finish test😞). Anyways, I thought this was cool asf, it’s much better than the ear r4ping beeps these International trucks at my current airport job torture us with because our owners are too cheap to get the airlines fixed
Honestly, I’d rather have one of these in my truck. Something about the antique look of it is way cooler than a normal low pressure warning system!

Should be relatively easy to retrofit one even in modern trucks. Just need a tap off of the primary air lines that feed the foot valve or park brake and a small line running from the dash to the overhead.
I’ve got one in my 1980 cabover KW and it works fine. It isn’t exposed like that, it drops down through a slot in the overhead console. The truck’s got a low air light on the dash as well.
Grew up with these in all the school buses i ever rode in. They all worked, they had too in order to pass the yearly inspection process
Yeah I drove 74 KW cab over that had one of those. And noticed a lot of folks saying they're on school buses.. When I was going to school that weren't any school buses with air brakes around here. But I did notice you can buy new ones made by stemco. I saw them on a bus parts supplier website.
Mind blown. I can't comprehend.
That sure beets the hell out of those annoying buzzers, especially on the older (70's-80's) Ford's.
Thanks it is on the Air brake test for Semi’s …. NOW WE KNOW…lol

Plenty of people way interested in trucks that do not have a cdl. Plenty more that have never seen one let alone one that works. Thanks for watching
Im younger but i grew up on a farm so we had a couple the last was in a white that got scraped i wasn't there so i couldn't save it
Sadly I am dating myself but I think at 60 psi? they will drop. We had them on all air brake equipment when I started. Better than a blame buzzer. Now days you fart in the seat buzzer's will start going off. That back when they made tough equipment. Yes I drove a 35 ton rock Tk on a milk crate before all shift long.
I had to find the vid again I swiped the bug off my screen but it was actually on your windshield.
Still can find them in school busses.
Nice 👌
Neat :) But when I think of wig wags, I think of the old railroad crossing signals ;)

Dr suse was behind this wasn't he 😂
I had one in my 1974 kw 900 in working condition but the paint was faidinout.
Well that ages a guy grew up with them ,it still surprises me when the younger generation doesn't know lol
@edisonmotors are putting them in new trucks
So cool
What size is the super?; Oliver's are forever, they had to keep making the other green ones.

It's gone now but ot was an 88 that was 340ci
Wig wag>buzzer
the wig wags work when they do work thats why the electric air pressure systems are better cause them wig wags suck
Misses diesel?? Are the kids named DEF…lol

Boy, we sure hope not! Apparently, a few people found that offensive. In reality, it was an off the top of the head type thing because I didn't think my wife would like me using her real name on the Internet for all time.
I’m currently studying this 😕
Ha I'm not old but I know what they are.... never seen one in working order
