I respect Dakota digital gauges but for me I like the visual of a sweeping needle.

This is very interesting!! I'd love to learn more about wiring equipment in a car! Good stuff!!

Before you put regular coolant in there you should check out Evan's replacement coolant it's oil-based and on average runs 20°F cooler then using water. It has a much higher boiling point so your liquid will stay a liquid and not a gas, plus you won't have any corrosion inside the radiator, engine block, or heater core. 👌🏼

My early C4 Corvette has the full digital cluster so I absolutely can relate! I love the 80s charm of the digital gauges. Specifically wanted a early 4 Speed rather than the late 90s C4s which were relatively modernized

I was going to use just the dakota digital converter to get my stock gauges to work in my LS swapped Sonoma but this looks so much better. Great job!

I like the digital gauges better than the basic gauges

Kyle, I was admiring the engine bay shot in this video and it reminded me. I’m working on my ac on my 93 Sonoma. Where did you find ac lines for your truck? I see what appears to be the factory style accumulator. I cannot find the ac line that runs from the accumulator to the condenser and it’s the only thing holding up my project. Any info is greatly appreciated

I do like the update from the analog gauges, But it would be cool to see then come out with a LCD screen like what is found in modern cars. The digital dash is a bit 1980's alarm clockish. But cool project nonetheless.

Where are you finding the electrical books? I’m having so many problems with my 92 4x4 s10. Any idea on why my digital cluster mileage glitches and jumps around constantly?

That's a really Neat looking digital speedometer makes the truck look more sportier 👍, oh is the Nissan 240SX still Running just wondering ?

So what are your plans for ABS? Are you going to delete it, keep the factory rear wheel system, or do a 4 wheel conversion? Also since you deleted cruise control it would maybe look better to get a throttle bracket off a truck that didn't have it. It looks a little silly having a hole in the bracket that you'll never use.

legostar55 Of course I can get a different throttle cable bracket, that’s not a big deal, I just don’t feel like changing it up right now when I already had a good bracket ready to use. I’m deleting ABS and installing upgraded four wheel discs. I’ll do a video on the brakes.

I am about to put a Dakota digital dash in my 91S 10 on a difficulty scale what would you rate it between one being very easy and 10 being very hard

Awesome set up, my only gripe is that it would of been better if the company sold it already assemble and you simply just plug it in

I remember when Dakota Digital was introduced...… looks too vintage in my opinion when compared to modern LCD instrument clusters. Hell, the Digital "Star Wars" Dash in the 84-89 Corvette at least had multiple colors.

BASE0608 Yes, I completely forgot to talk about it, but they make a gear position sender that plugs into the control box. I still have to install the shift linkage.

colin eales it still works when the key is in the ignition or if the headlights are turned on while the truck is off.
