Thanks Ray for putting this together. It makes me so sad to see how it was. I left Salford in 1974 but it was still a shock to see my old school De La Salle being demolished

The photo of Cleminson St (1930) brought me up short. My mother was born at 55 Upper Cleminson St in December 1930. Incidentally, I am engaged in a fruitless search to find out more about her mother Martha Driver. The only official record of her I can find is on the baptism record of my mother in January 1931. I am wondering if Salford Registry Office might have more information about her.

Was Martha married. Is Driver her maiden name? Look for a marriage first. There's a few free sights for limited research. Lancs BMD. Free BMD.
