@@anass4109 I do not necsarily disagree, but there is a difference between personal favorite and objective best. And Mario Maker often requires tickering to make really good stages; though it has the potential to be better than both combined yes. But just on a personal level, the time and overthinking required was something I wanted to middle out and decided having them be 3rd worked. Plus it's an Earthbound reference the power of being number 3.

I played 3 when it first came out, and it was THE game to play. You were missing out otherwise.

I might be a weird edge case here, but I absolutely love The Lost Levels. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge as a kid and still love it now. It isn't my favorite or anything, but I think it's still a good game.

Tatanga returned as the boss of Space Land in Super Mario Land 2. There's a fan remake of Super Mario Land 1 for the SNES called New Super Mario Land.

Bummer to see luigi U so low, that game has a great lil challenge to it.

I wish they made a new mario game with Mario World responsiveness. That movement was PEAK

SMW feels a bit slippery and floaty, SMB3's movement was better imo.

Super Mario Land was my first, emotional to see it after decades first time here, levels I never thought of but suddenly remembered :-/

I’m in my mid-forties, but got into retro gaming recently. Super Mario Bros (especially the Deluxe release of the NES game on the GBC) the GB Six coins, the DS New Super Mario and 3DS New Super Mario 2 became my favourite games, not missing any of the shooting or murderous games of my youth. I find gaming largely pointless, but these games still have some harmless feel about 5hem and they have plenty of charm, which not many modern games genuinely possess.

I will always consider Mario World 2 and Mario Land 3 as Mario games because thats what Nintendo considered them. Mario Advance on gba was Yoshi's island. I think they can be BOTH a sequel to the previous games as well as the beginning of their own series. Especially in the case of Wario Land where the first game has more in common with Mario Land 2 than it does the rest of its own series.

Nsmb2 was an abomination. I can’t believe Nintendo deemed that acceptable!

New super mario bros 2 does not deserve to be above Lugi U in my opinion the levels are hard but fair the levels are shorter so the gimmicks don't get boring and super mario bros 2 is just mario wii but it's super easy and there's nothing original they reused music levels themes nothing about super mario bros 2 is better then Lugi U and everything else agreed or I can agree

My favorite 2D Mario game is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Yeah I said it! Sorry snowflakes! It's 2D and it has Mario!
