Old Horse VS Young Goat

Ойын-сауық

You guys ask this question often, "Why don't you race Elite" well lets find out how I'd stack up! This video compares my 3 lap main events, to the GOAT of BMX Racing Joris Daudet's 3 main events from the 2023 USA BMX Grand Nationals in Tulsa Oklahoma.

Nice breakdown Barry. I’ve been riding/racing Bmx’s for 43 yrs & your race analysis reinforces to me that I’ve never had the level of commitment needed to be a champ. Every time I hit the track I’m thinking “this is so much fun”. To be a champ takes so much dedication & full-on effort. Much respect 👊🏻

I have to agree he is like a pro at all aspects analysis prep training form and finally racing itself. It’s the little things and hard work that pay off. Definitely the commitment to the craft makes a professional !

Excellent video Barry, I love spending time on this and seeing veterans like you guys analyzing this type of videos. It is perfect for people like me who seek to better understand a track and develop better in it, that's why I love watching your videos.

You are running on the Lower ramp Barry ...and still ahead or even...still elite standard ..the skill and mentality is still the same ..you could ride elite but vet pro is super ..it's way more exciting ..thank you for coming back into USA BMX and your input .....love the chase and 95 combo

Your very humble for how amazing you are! Its almost like tyson comparing himself to ali, extremely touching when your the greatest in your era, but acknowledging the past or the future as maybe they could have been better. I don't know, thats what i got out of it. You show respect and humbleness and not cocky cause you are the best at your age bracket

Hey I’m just another rider like everyone else looking to better myself. I wish a pro could have shared this kinda stuff when I was young and for that I owe those young riders today to have just that.

Really interesting video, I always race with a GoPro so I can watch every lap and learn what I did right, and what I need to work on for the next lap. It’s crazy seeing the top Pros in detail how they build energy on the track. Awesome video as always, catch you next season!

This is great! I love the analysis, especially in a sport that I don't do. I understand the very basics of it, but it's super cool to hear about the finer details in what makes the difference even at your level. Sick! and thanks for sharing your thoughts!

You are a solid fellow. I raced from 1986-2000. I met alot of egos. You don't have a bad ego. I enjoy your vids. Clips? VANS and low profile pinned platforms is old school "clipped in" 😊

Great video, Barry. I always learn a few things, and I don’t even race - just like to go fast on trails, and the techniques fully translate. 24:41 (for example: step-down/waterfall done wrong is slow - done right is fast!) You get “light” before it, and “heavy” on the backside. 👊🙂

lmaooo you’re the vet goat and stay the vet goat champ. your pushing 40 these young guys are something else . don’t get me wrong your easily one of the best vets of all time . a track time doesn’t mean a lot. getting a 30 sec lap time is easy.. getting up there with 7other rides it’s tough for a sub 30 time.
