How did they decide on the name “Old Hickory”?

I’m not sure since I don’t work there but I’m from Tennessee and “ Old Hickory” was a nickname given to Andrew Jackson by his troops and he was from Tennessee. My best guess…

@@matthewpixley4941 Thank you Matthew. I live about 4 miles from The Hermitage, home of Andrew Jackson and am aware of that story. I was thinking perhaps someone from the company would reply with a definite answer. Maybe the owner was from Old Hickory at one time? Maybe because the company is in White House, and Jackson was President, they used that as a connection? Just find it interesting and was just wondering. I appreciate your input...thanks again.
