Even in AW1 you could see her fear. She was the lady of the fading light. You can also mention her love for Tom. It's a longer debate. She a was a fun boss. Her darkness is understandable from my point of view.

Beautiful, horrific, mind-bending, harsh and unbelievably hopeful...all these can be said of Alan Wake II. And the music haunts you long after you hit the Final Draft's ending.

This has to be my favourite Old Gods song ... and it's so sad to think that in-universe no one has listened to this. It shouldn't be locked away or hidden in a bathtub 😢

To be fair, the song was never made to be released. Tor regretted that his actions pushed his daughter Freya away, causing her to run away after what happened to Saga's father. He wanted to apologize to her, but he never got that chance. So he wrote Anger's Remorse since he would never be able to properly apologize to the daughter he had hurt with his actions And in the end, the song was heard by the one person who was ment to hear it: Freya's daughter, Saga

My favorite part about Remedy games is their master over audio and visual. The sound going from a janky jukebox to a beautiful all encompassing melody as you step outside was beyond beautiful

The lyrics hit so hard, and coupled with the vocals make for an absolute powerhouse of a song. Remedy/Poets of the Fall is such a fantastic combination, thank you so much for giving us Old Gods of Asgard!

All of the songs written for this game are so damn good and go above and beyond just reflecting the game and its characters. The chorus to this song in particular is so poignant: "for in the twilight of my years, I'm nothing but anger's remorse" is just a great lyric.

Herald of Darkness and Dark Ocean summoning are bangers yes but Anger's Remorse is a masterpiece

This song has two versions, one of them with a hidden message (the lyrics going backwards during the instrumental break) and with different lyrics in the chorus and the third verse. That's why many people thought the lyrics in the Mind Place version were wrong

I know a lot of people are going to consider heresy, but I like Anger's Remorse more than Herald of Darkness and Dark Ocean Summoning. I mean, all 3 are amazing and all of them are on constant repeat, is just that this one resonate a lot with me, not in the lyrics necessarily, but on the feeling and emotion, the sensation, the atmosphere of the song, idk if it makes sense, it hard to explain

The mixing and mastering on this band as well as the way they use background instruments is honestly unbelievable. There's such an insane clarity to these, it's so easy to pick out little elements in the background without them taking over too much. It's just right, just perfect.

anger's remorse is such a power phrase, and it is perfectly weaved in the context of the story

Would’ve never found Poets if it wasn’t for Alan wake 1 and I’m so grateful I did they’ve been one of the most consistently damn good bands the past 13 years.

Thank you for your masterpiece. To musicians, to actors, to Sam Lake, to programmers, to all Remedy team. You touched my heart, when I thought nobody could touch it. You will be always have a special place inside me.

Alan Wake 2 spoilers (about Saga's parents): These lyrics are another evidence that Mr. Door is Saga's father. This song exists as a ritual to let Saga reach an Overlap, and have a glimpse of the Dark Place, where Mr. Door is. As it says: "Dive through the dark To find the light on the other side You will find him there The piece you are missing The man I drove away". I believe Tor's referring to her father here, the one he drove away. The whole song is called Anger's remorse because he regrets that single episode especially. Moreover, Mr. Door also said he is in the Dark Place looking for someone he cares about, and that someone only ended up there because Alan wrote them into the story. It all connects! :)

Even if I agree with that reading, it should be mentioned that Tor could refer to himself as well. "The man I drove away", I mean, he drove himself away by being a bad father to Freya and more. Even if I do think that verse refers to Mr. Door. Maybe DLC plans, maybe Alan Wake 3... who knows? 🤷🏻‍♂️

One of my favorite things about Alan Wake one was the amazing soundtrack, due in no small part to the contributions from Gods of Asgard / Poets of the fall. When I heard Alan Wake II was coming out, I was worried the soundtrack wouldn't measure up to the previous game. . .but I am SO proud to say not only was I completely wrong, but Alan Wake 2's soundtrack actually exceeded everything the original games soundtrack did so well. Standout hits like this very song stay with you long after the credits roll. The vocals and instrumental arrangements these guys put together here are absolutely flawless.

Deep. Quelled the darkness, torched away the malice. Afloat again I alight into my hearts desires, life and love and adventure adverse to no storm. This is a waorld, and war worth fighting for. ❤❤❤

Yeah, of course he is. Pages literally say Mr. Door was struck by lightning and vanished... Mr. Door poster hung in the Bright Falls sheriff station... Mr. Door teleported Tim Breaker at the moment he wanted to give a page about him to Saga... Odin saying some doors are better left unopened... I mean, it is obvious. I haven't even mentioned the more obvious hints that came up in the main story itself.

If Freya Anderson heard this, I think there's a strong chance she would've forgiven Tor.

There is no reason this to be better than most mainstream music today 😂

The things Tor did to Freya were horrific and nobody can blame her for leaving. She can never forgive him. But Saga, she's delighted to have family, a grandfather she never knew. Anger's Remorse is the mourning of a lost connection, and it takes this earnestness, this regret poured into the record The Old Gods never sold. So of course they'd dive in straight after. Because there's another Anderson ready to rock on the stage 🤘🤘

Still my favorite visual moment in the whole game. Just getting this playing and the threshold going crazy. Perfection

dang it, now I want Poets of the Fall to tour as Old Gods of Asgard :D

@@guardianprotected6498 i think this is in reference to the lyrics, some of the songs have captions that are different from the actual song lyrics, generally being more specific to the situation and reading more like a conversation, this is one of the songs affected by this, but the actual track being played is the same to my knowledge

It's great how the songs in the game come out little by little. This song reminds me of The Game because of the pale horse. I feel like it's kind of a negative continuation of that song and and a nice reference from you towards your fans how both bands.

This is such a powerful song and carry a great message. I feel like this song could apply to Kratos

I really Believe that Remedy entertainment have some of the best storytelling in gaming with Quantum break to control and Alan Wake. Hell the Max Payne series is amazing too. I'm really hoping to see Alan Wake 2 win GOTY this year.

This song really moves me. Love the instrumentals and the singer is loud and clear

The We Sing moment was excellent, but Saga putting this record on to unveil a red overlap portal and walking slowly towards it while saying "Fuck, here we go again"; one of ny favorite parts of the game.

And here I thought The Herald of Darkness was gonna be my favorite track from the game

When saga slowly going pond and says here we go again. It’s the one of coolest scene I ve seen for awhile
