Someone has a crush.....

When I was in grade school I loved going to the library. The smell and feel of the used books in their plastic covers made me love going there. I wanted to be a librarian at that time, especially watching the librarian take the card out of the book and stamp the date on it. Thanks for the memories.

Oh my goodness Rebecca! It would be difficult to say if I have a number 1 favorite video from you, but this is most definitely at the top of the list! The sounds in the video are amazing, it is especially appreciated by me since the library was one of my first triggers. We used to go as a family once a week, and I would sit in the chairs near the circulation desk pretending to read a book, but actually secretly soaking in those lovely tingle- inducing sounds. The role play was also very realistic because I can just picture you being one of the soft, sweet library ladies from my hometown. Thank you so much for all you do Rebecca! 💖

I appreciate that you took the time to comment on this video, Kris. The encouragement is wonderful. I don’t have a lot of childhood memories about the library but I have a lot from my adulthood. My earliest memories of books and dust jacket come from my kindergarten teacher at story time. I always loved the way she turned the pages and moved the book around for every child to see the illustrations. That’s when I fell in love with books. 😍

I have loved soft spoken asmr for years. This is Gold for me! Your voice and your energy and the sounds and book covers… brilliant. I listen every day and relax quickly ( not normal for me) and fall asleep great. I have it casting on my TV in the dark family room and I feel my body turn into mush.. in a good way!

Oh my goodness, this brought back so many fond memories of growing up in the 70's, riding our bikes all around town and usually winding up at the library...my brother and I were huge bookworms! I loved the way your "library" was old timey looking, like our childhood library. I used to love how refreshingly cool it was on a hot summer's day; and so peaceful and quiet. And visiting with the librarian, like you did in your video with your patrons. Today my library is all about speed and efficiency...the librarian scans our books, hands them back to us; and then the next one in line steps up. I miss the good ol' days. Thank you for bringing them back to us; if even for just an hour. I can't imagine how much work you put into it, Rebecca! So I thank you so much for it. I plan on re-watching it over and over, as I do with so many of your other videos. Hugs, Pam

You create quite a vivid picture, Pam. I so enjoyed that scene in my imagination. I lived in a very rural area so we didn’t have a library to go to. Not a single store or shop. Our destination was the trout farm. A place to go fishing and buy fish bait and candy from an old wood shack. I was just telling my husband tonight that I have no youthful memories of libraries. All of my knowledge comes from adulthood. I feel like I missed out. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😂 🤫 Don’t tell anyone. 😂

One of your best videos in recent memory! I enjoyed it quite a bit. I also remember that Men Are From Mars book being really big around the turn of the century. I haven't heard or seen anything about it in years, so its influence seems to have dissipated, but it was a phenomenon there for a minute.

Wow I always wondered how exactly the libraries cover them with plastic. Awesome video. And usually I watch no talking but the whispering is perfect. Some people's whisper is too "spitty", but your whisper is just right 👌🙏. I wish I could make a request too but I know you probably have a lot on your hands already Love to see more. I feel extremely shy about my face too but you look great!!

I really appreciate that! You are so kind. This is what you call a soft-spoken video. My whisper is probably a lot different than this. But if you’re listening without headphones then it probably comes across as a whisper. I have never been able to relate or relax to videos with peoples faces so I don’t do them. But for a request I was willing to try. I am a bit camera shy but only because I am getting old! 😭 😂😂😂

And I should say WOW to the amount of work and effort you've put in this video, Becky! Just wow! So many details! I know that you have so many subscribers and am always amazed that you manage to find the time to reply 😊It was so lovely to see your face and your lovely broad smile. It really did make me weep. I would love to visit you someday, truly. I too feel that the Lord placed each of us together, worlds apart and yet with many, many, things in common. I actually can't begin to tell you just how much we have in common! I regret that I don't have the same ability to make videos of my life as you do. Thank you for your sweet message. I love you so much! (Forgive me if I am a little absent for a month or so), we have finally managed to buy our own house! And are so busy with paperwork etc. It is anticipated to settle in mid August and hopefully, we will be moving in around four weeks time. Sooooo much to do!
